The Association’s Rules and Regulations govern how residents are expected to conduct themselves. The rules have evolved over the 40 plus years of Canyon Lake’s history to promote the orderly use of the common facilities, enhancement of the aesthetic environment and similar purposes. Violation of the rules may result in a fine and/or loss of privileges to utilize recreational facilities.
Community Patrol Citations
Community Patrol will enforce the Rules and Regulations by issuing citations. To appeal a citation, a member must complete a Citation Appeals Request form (can be found online at www.canyonlakepoa.com in the Document Center) within 15 days. The Citation Appeals Request form must be signed by the Prime or Associate member, then faxed, emailed, or submitted in person to the Hearing Services Coordinator. Once submitted, the appeal will be processed. The Association will then mail a notification with an appeals date in which the member can present their case to the Appeals Committee.
Appeals are traditionally held on the last Monday of the month. Appeals sign-ups begin at 5 p.m. with the first case heard at 5:30 p.m. The first member to sign-up will be the first member seen.
Due to the high volume of Appeals, there will be two Appeals sessions in October. The first session is on October 20 at 5 p.m. in the Pool View Room at the Lodge and second session will be October 27 also at 5 p.m. in the Pool View Room at the Lodge.
Traffic School

All members, their lessees and guests, could be eligible to attend traffic school, for additional information please contact the Hearing Services Department. A member is eligible to attend traffic school for a moving violation once every 18 months. Upon successful completion of Traffic School, the fine and violation will be removed from the member’s account.
