New bell schedules have been set for the 2014-15 school year. The most significant changes affect middle schools and high schools to accommodate teacher collaboration, or PLC time. On Wednesdays, middle schools will have an early release time, and high schools will have a late start. A combined school year calendar and bell schedule is attached.

“Bell schedules have been fine-tuned to enable K-12 teachers to work collaboratively to meet the academic needs of all students,” says Superintendent Doug Kimberly, who explains such collaboration arms teachers with student data and information to improve learning outcomes.

The 2014-15 bell schedules and school year calendar align with the "Local Control Accountability Plan" (LCAP), which defines district goals and outcomes for the next three years.

Bell schedules and school year calendars are the result of collaboration and negotiation among the district’s bargaining units, including the Lake Elsinore Teachers Association (LETA) and CSEA Chapter 598. Earlier this year, both 2014-15 and 2015-16 school year calendars were approved by the Governing Board. Copies are available for download on the district’s website at www.leusd.k12.ca.us.
