Happy Papa Daddy Day! I love you more than all the stars in the sky Papa Daddy. Thank you so much for always having fancy tea parties with me. Thank you for always taking me to the pool and all of our fun times at the park. Thank you for teaching me new things every day. Thank you for teaching me math and working on my letters with me.

I have so much fun working in the yard with you and making Minnie Mouse pancakes with you. And thank you so much for playing baseball with me, even when my mommy says it's not very fancy. I love it! Thank you Papa Daddy for being here for me every day. You are the best Papa Daddy in the world. I love you. Love, Zuri

You must be wondering why my father is not in the picture. This photograph was just recently taken at a beautiful home here in Canyon Lake where I catered a wedding anniversary party.

I have never experienced the love of a father for my father passed away in his sleep when I was a 9-month-old baby. But he lives in me for I inherited from him my skills in the culinary world. He migrated from Hong Kong and became an owner-chef of a Chinese restaurant in the town where I was born.

I may not have experienced the care and warmth of a father, but his legacy lives in my passion in the culinary world! After quitting my job at a five-star-luxury hotel in Japan as a guest relations manager, I am now a personal chef doing fine dining in affluent places here in Southern California, including Canyon Lake, for people who know taste and style. This exemplary skill, I owe to my father!

I have a message to all fathers: Daddies, you've got a vital role to play in your childrearing. Gone are those days when it's enough to "bring home the bacon." Share your life with your kids!

Happy Fathers Day, Dad! We're so blessed to have you as our father and thankful for everything you've done for us. We have so many great and happy memories over the years that we have shared with you – like driving through the cornfields in the "daddy wagon" and going to the river all those times. You've made each memory so special to us and we're excited for many more to come! We love you Dad!

My dad is the one person in this world I know I can count on no matter what. It's not easy growing up and learning how to navigate this world, and I don't think I could have done it without him as a role model. I appreciate his wisdom, his love, his guidance, and his willingness to let me make my own decisions even if he knew they would be mistakes. He's taught me how to be my own man, and I still learn from him constantly. I'm eternally proud and grateful to be his son.

There is not enough room in The Friday Flyer for me to list all the reasons why my father is special to me. As far back as I can remember, I have always been a “daddy’s girl.” When I think of why that is, several things come to mind. Perhaps it is because I am the baby girl, #2, or “the deuce,” as my father used to call me (among other nick names he has coined me over the years).

Perhaps it is because he taught me to how to paint and use tools. Perhaps it is because, for every single milestone throughout my life, he has been there. Perhaps it is because I almost lost him on June 28, 1985 due to a car accident we were involved in together.

Perhaps it is because we have lived over 1,500 miles from each other since 1987, which makes me cherish every second we have together. Perhaps it is because my struggles became his opportunities to help me grow.

Then it hit me. The one reason that sums it all up; the one thing I would want everyone to know; the single message my father has been trying to get across to me all these years: my father is special to me because I am special to him.

He has continually gone out of his way in thought, word and deed to be sure I got his message. Happy Father’s Day, Dad! Thank you for loving me as much as I love you!

My dad is special to me, not for a certain tradition or memory, but because of the example he has been to me my entire my life. It is not the words he has said but what he has shown me with his actions and character. People talk a good talk, but not as many can walk the walk.

When I look back on my life, I am so grateful for the parents that I was given. I am so blessed. My dad was 18 when I came into this world. He worked three jobs to support his family in the beginning and went on to have a successful career. He worked hard and sacrificed for his family.

He was so young, yet he showed me the importance of hard work, strength, character and kindness. Dad, I love you more than words can express. You are a very rare person and I am proud to call you Dad! Happy Father's Day from the whole gang!

I want to honor my husband for being an amazing dad. You work so hard, and I know you are very tired at times but you still find the time to spend with our girl. Those trips to the dog park, swimming together at the pool, horseback riding, the trips for ice cream and, yes, when she was little (your jumping on the trampoline together) have not gone unnoticed. You have never been on the sidelines – you have been right by her side and that is a great gift to give your daughter.

You have sacrificed for your family. Someone once told me that a person's true character comes out in tough times. When times got  tough, you did what you had to do and you traveled thousands of miles with nothing but an RV, our dog Molly and your bike, just to support us. Thank you for being strong and doing what many people could not have done. We love you, and happy Father's Day!

It couldn't have been easy for an only child to get married at the age of 20 and quickly father four girls. He was the dad that all our girlfriends wanted their dads to be like. He was cool, cute and the best dancer at the "Father Daughter" dances.

Our house was always the house where everyone hung out, and we had many memorable parties. We put my dad through a lot, causing him to be gray at a young age, but he always loved his "harem."

I consider myself very lucky. How many 58-year-old women (me) can be riding around in a golf cart and be able to wave at their dad as he's going the other direction after golf? Only in Canyon Lake.  Thank you for being such a wonderful father and now, a wonderful friend. Love you.

We'd like to wish our dad a very happy Father's Day. This year we honor and celebrate Dad, a father of seven, husband of 57 years and a U.S. Veteran, who worked tirelessly to support and protect his family in times of hardship and prosperity. Dad strived to raise his children to be respectful, responsible and to be good productive adults with morals and family values. Family is everything to Dad, and he means the world to us. Happy Father's Day Dad. We love you so much!

My dad's a fireman, and proud I am indeed,

For he is someone special, whose wisdom I still need.

Dad and I are buddies and, to me, that means a lot,

A bond to last forever, with love that forms the knot.

Dad, hear me as I say, "I love you," child to man,

And, I'm proud to tell the world, my dad's a fireman.

We love you to the moon and back!

My dad is the best dad in the world. My dad always plays tennis with me and baseball too. My dad is at every practice and every game and always makes me feel like I do a great job. My dad and I always spend a lot of time together. We have special "boy" outings every week (we usually go see a "boy" movie that Mom doesn't want to see. I love my dad very very much.

Words cannot even describe how lucky I am to have you as my husband and father of my children! I may not say this but the best part of the day for me is watching you walk through the door and the kids running up to you. The look in their big brown eyes just melts my heart!

You may have had the worst day at work, but that never stops you from spending time with Tay and Leah. I love you more and more every single day, and I can honestly say that I have never met a man like you! Your determination to take care of your family, further your career and support all the shenanigans that I decide to do is amazing! I hope you have an amazing Father's Day, Babe! We love you with all of our hearts!!

My dad is funny, nice and is a great dad. He makes me laugh when he tells stories about Frank and the monkeys. He also make me laugh when he dances with our dog. My favorite thing to do with my dad is to watch TV and play football. I love my dad more than X-Box and chocolate. Happy Fathers Day, Dad. Love you.

I want to speak a little about my two fathers. I am truly a lucky lady to have two such wonderful men in my life. My name is Madianne Heller Acock and I am the new branch manager of the BBVA Compass Bank here in the Towne Center.

My father is Tracy Heller, an insurance broker who works at Farmers Insurance in the Towne Center. My stepfather, Russ Morris, is a professional cement truck driver for Superior Ready Mix and I have been lucky enough to have him in my life since I was 4 years old.

My mother and stepdad Russ moved to Canyon Lake about 12 years ago. I was living in the desert at the time, but I fell in love with the lifestyle here and just knew that this was the place I wanted to live someday. About three years ago, my father Tracy and stepmother, who were also living in the desert, were in the process of selling their home and wanted to know where I was planning to move. Well, Canyon Lake, of course!

Two years ago, I was finally able to move my husband and my two children to my dream destination and have both sets of parents in the same community. We drive to each other's houses in our golf carts, we go to the lake together, we go boating together, we have family dinners together and we are all able to celebrate the holidays together.

Some people find it strange for ex-husbands and new husbands to all hang out together, but we all get along and we do it for the kiddos. That is why I am writing this letter. I feel that I am the luckiest girl alive to have such great fathers and such amazing grandfathers for my children.

Our father is our hero. He has shown us eight children unconditional love thoughout our lives. We were blessed to be brought up in a Christian home.

In our younger years our father had three jobs to support our family so that our mother did not have to work. He coached his sons' basketball, baseball and football teams for many years. When there  were father/daughter functions, our father never failed to take us.

We have always and still do appreciate his godly advice. Our father served in the U.S. Army during World War II and we are very proud he served our country.  Our father just turned 90 two weeks ago and we are so blessed. We love you so much.
