Anime Archives (Anime Meta) Blog Theme Features

The theme I made for the Anime Archives (Anime Meta) blog is very different from the one I made for Movies Meta and my main Google Blogger blog. Here are some of the features of this particular theme:

The blog archives shows up in a modal and the link to open it is located on the header part of the blog

The search feature is also on the header, and, when clicked, it opens in a full screen overlay

The pics for the Popular Posts gadget/widget are quite large especially when compared to the one on the Writing Archives, my main Google Blogger blog

The pic displays the post title in an overlay

If you hover your mouse on the post title, a tooltip will show up, displaying a short snippet about the post in question

Check out the pic below to see how it looks:

The homepage displays large images from posts. It’s similar to photo posts on Tumblr where the pic shows up on top before the text.

On the Verde Frühling Tumblr theme, if you hover your mouse on a photo post, it will zoom in without breaking out of its container box.

If you’ve turned on the exif data feature and if your pic contains exif data, the information will be displayed on the picture itself. See this post for an example.

On the Anime Archives, the pic will also zoom in when you hover your mouse over it, but, instead of or rather than displaying exif data, it will show social media sharing icons for Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Google+ and Tumblr.

You can then click on those buttons to share the post on your chosen social media account. Here’s an example from this post about the Snow White with the Red Hair anime:

As for the post page- this is what you’ll see at the end of it:

Below the related posts (posts you might like) feature is the Disqus comments feature and the next and previous post buttons.

The Subscribe, Tags, Share this and Follow buttons all open in a modal when clicked. For instance, here’s how the Subscribe modal looks like:

The theme also includes:

A cookie consent banner widget, which shows up on the header part of the blog

A back to top button, which shows up on the lower right side of the blog

A 2-column footer that’s pretty similar to the ones on my other Google Blogger blogs

Well, there’s a lot more features, but let’s leave it at that for now. If you decide to check it out, it’d be nice to know your thoughts about it :-).
