The holidays are upon us and while most might think of Christmas trees and hot coco, the gamers of the world are thinking about the new releases. The November game season kicked off with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and this year’s holiday gaming rush is only set for bigger and better games. Whether you’re a gamer or have a gamer on your gift buying list, here are some of the most anticipated games to keep an eye out for this holiday season.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

Though many fans of Dragon Age: Origins weren’t thrilled with the sequel, Dragon Age II, the latest addition to the Dragon Age series is expected to redeem the franchise. Roleplaying game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, takes place in a land called Thedas which is under threat from other nations and dragons. It’s up to you to restore order to Thedas by leading your allies to victory. The game, which is available on November 18, offers about 150 hours of play with main quests and side quests combined. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available November 18th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

Far Cry 4

Far Cry 4 is the next installment in the Far Cry series and with its breathtaking graphics and thrilling game play, this first-person shooter is sure to be one of the hottest games this season. In Far Cry 4, you will be thrown into a civil war to overthrow the despotic self-appointed king of Kyrat. Set in the Himalayas, you will encounter elephants, tigers, monkeys and other deadly or helpful animals. Far Cry 4 releases November 18 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

LittleBigPlanet 3

The third installment of LittleBigPlanet brings the same charm and imagination as prior iterations but with new characters for even bigger adventures. LittleBigPlanet is ESRB rated for everyone, making it a great option for younger gamers. This game allows players to customize characters and worlds for endless game play. LittleBigPlanet makes its debut November 18 on PS3 and PS4.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U

For fans of Nintendo’s Smash Bros. Franchise, this latest addition will not disappoint. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U offers more characters than ever, including fan favorites like Mario, Donkey Kong, and secret fighters to discover throughout the game. With Wii U you can use a variety of controllers to change up your Super Smash Bros. experience. Look for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U beginning November 21.

The Crew

At its heart, The Crew is a racing game with nods to the realism of predecessors like Gran Turismo but it is so much more. The Crew seeks to take racing games to the next level, allowing you to play alone or create racing “crews” with fellow players to complete missions across the United States. The graphics are true to life, both with the cars and the backdrops. The game is intended to grow with future digital add-ons. The Crew will be available on PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on December 2.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity

Assassin’s Creed: Unity is the seventh installment in the hugely successful Assassin’s Creed lineup. The latest in the series takes place in Paris during the French Revolution. Open-world play allows you to explore inside buildings and even the catacombs while you work to assassinate a Templar agent. Missions can be played alone or with up to three other players online. Unity has previous Assassin’s Creeds beat with new parkour abilities and improved stealth mechanics. Assassin’s Creed: Unity hit shelves December 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
