Bruno Mars brought his 24 karat style to Saturday Night Live last night (Oct. 15), where he performed his latest hit single “24 K Magic” as well as a new funky track, “Chunky.”

Mars didn’t confine things to the stage where musical guests normally perform for his first number, “24K Magic.” Instead, he started with a “walk and rap” that took him through the studio’s backstage area with three of his backup singer-dancers. The boys paused to break it down throughout their “stroll,” showing that when it comes to putting on a show, Mars can sing and dance in equal measure.

For his second performance, Mars debuted a new single “Chunky.” This time, he stuck to the main stage instead of wandering through the audience or behind the scenes.

In “Chunky,” Mars praises well endowed girls who have their life together. “Shout out to the girls who pay they rent on time,” he and his boys sing. Even though it’s a slower tempo number than “24K Magic,” it’s no less funky and builds in some of the early ’80s hip-hop flare that Mars has been toying with lately. “Ooh Chunky/ Looking for them girls with the big ol’ hoops/ That drop it down in Daisy Dukes/ Yeah, them the ones I’m trying to recruit/ I’m looking at you, yeah, you, baby,” he sings on the chorus.

Lady Gaga is up next week as the show’s musical guest. Watch Mars do this thing below.

Another great musical moment saw a great parody of Beyonce’s Lemonade track “Sorry,” called “Melanianade,” a song sung by Melania Trump (played by Cecily Strong), along with Ivanka Trump (this week’s guest host Emily Blunt), Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon), Omarosa (Sasheer Zamata) and Tiffany Trump (Vanessa Bayer), all airing their grievances about Donald Trump (played by Alec Baldwin, who has been playing Trump this season).

Unsurprisingly, Trump had his own feelings about the episode.

Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me.Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!
