Southwest Airlines announced that it plans to launch new non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Veradero, Cuba on November 13. The carrier will operate the route twice daily.

Additionally, the carrier is set to begin flights to Havana from both Fort Lauderdale and Tampa on December 12. Flights from Fort Lauderdale will be twice weekly, while service from Tampa will be offered once daily.

The routes are still pending requisite approval from the Cuban government.

Cuba will be the ninth country that Southwest serves, and Havana will be the airline’s 100th city.
