For the fifth year in a row, the OCPA is extending their annual scholarship opportunity to Fremont College’s Paralegal Studies students.

The Orange County Paralegal Association (OCPA) is committed to the advancement of the paralegal profession and understands that paralegal students often find it difficult to complete their education, especially in this current economy. That is why the OCPA is donating $1000 in scholarship funds to the Fremont College Paralegal Studies program for distribution to two deserving students who will receive $500 each. The two recipients will also be invited to the OCPA’s Educational Conference where they will be recognized and awarded the scholarship. The Educational Conference will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the Radisson Hotel in Newport Beach. In addition to the scholarship, each recipient is invited to attend the Educational Conference as a guest.

In order to be considered for this award, students need to submit a resume and two-page personal statement (double-spaced) to Arline Melkonian arline.melkonian@faculty.fremont.edu OR Gerry Mendoza gerry.mendoza@fremont.edu no later than 6pm, Friday, July 18th. Candidates who fail to submit the required documents by the deadline indicated will be disqualified from consideration.

Your personal statement should address why you feel you are worthy to be a recipient of the OCPA scholarship. Include your educational and professional background, your future career aspirations, and any other relevant facts to support your candidacy. Students must maintain active status and be in good standing with the college to be eligible for the award.
