Join Anacostia Arts Center for Eternal Spring, an exhibition by Matt Hollis celebrating the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Hollis’s works featured organic soft sculptures and bold colors.
Save the Date for Sunday, April 12 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm when there will be an additional reception to celebrate the closing of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Gallery hours: Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00am - 7:00pm.

The ongoing series, Exiles & nomads, features works that represent family and community through the use of a variety of materials. The artist uses ceramics, glass, and discarded wood to build sculptures and portraits. On view: La’am=Yes/No (Between the Scarab and the Dung Beetle). Gallery Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm and by appointment.

This annual exhibit and fundraiser features the work of 125 artists selected by 20 curators. Each artist was asked to transform "a simple ceramic bowl by mean of his or her own personal aesthetic and medium, drawing inspiration from the bowl as a place of holding, community, sacred space, and the alchemical vessel." Some of the local artists featured include: Judy Byron, Lenny Campello, Dana Ellyn, Pat Goslee, Ryan Hill, Rose Jaffe, Wayson Jones, Micheline Klagsbrun, Peter Krsko, Cory Oberndorfer, Anthony Palliparambil, Jr., Matt Sesow, Lisa Marie Thalhammer and Kelly Towles, Gallery Hours: Wednesday - Friday 11:00am - 5:00pm, Saturday 11:00am - 3:00pm and by appointment.

Opening for Freya Grand's solo show Africa at Gallery plan b

Freya Grand’s solo exhibition features the vast landscapes of Namibia and Botswana. Grand is working with the African Wildlife Foundation and a portion of all proceeds will go to AWF. Gallery hours: Wednesday - Saturday 12:00pm - 7:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00pm and by appointment.
