This week, Associate Educator Addie L. Gayoso discusses crazy quilts featured in Workt by Hand: Hidden Labor and Historical Quilts. This talk will explore the organized chaos - myriad fabrics, stitches, and colors - that compose these intricate works of art.

Note: Talk is free, if you want to tour the museum before or after, admission applies. If you want to come back to see the art, admission is free on the first Sunday of the month.

Bilal Qureshi shares excerpts of his recent reporting and personal travels through Pakistan. Bilal Qureshi is a multimedia journalist interested in the intersection of international politics and culture. He's a producer with NPR's All Things Considered and a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Columbia School of Journalism.

Presented by The Alden. This free coffeehouse-style night of improv and open mic performances is hosted by The Alden's Studio Rep, the only professional teen repertory company in the Greater McLean area. Always free and always the second Thursday of the month, this interactive show encourages audiences to join in the improv or jam out during open mic. The best of the DMV's improv teams headline each show. Come for the laughs or come to play along, Code 20 has something for everyone.
