This atlas and synopsis of pediatric dermatology, now in its second edition, is an excellent introductory effort well-suited written by Professor Sandipan Dhar of Kolkata (Calcutta) - the book capital of India - a noted pediatric dermatologist who is Chief Editor of the Indian Journal of Dermatology, and Secretary of the Indian Society of Pediatric Dermatology. This book is an attractively bound 170-page hardcover work divided into 20 skillfully authored chapters beginning with neonatal dermatoses. The first edition had been the first pediatric dermatology book from the entire Indian subcontinent. This second edition has been expanded, with three more chapters and 60 additional entries. It contains 400 photographs, all in color, and included common and selected rare dermatomes in the pediatric age group.
