Weather Quick Settings Tile app let’s you add a small Weather Tile to your Quick Settings Bar on Android Nougat!
The text shows you the current temperature while a small icon displays one of 12 different weather conditions.
Clicking the tile will update the weather data while double tapping will open up a dialog
You can configure the widget by double tapping it and change, whether you want to use Celsius or Fahrenheit, if there should be a small weather description and how often it should refresh automatically.
The weather data is based off of your current location and get downloaded automatically from http://openweathermap.org/

Update: New update makes it fantastic! Edit: Dev added custom locations and now it works like a proper weather widget! Showing the exact same weather results as Google Now. It’s basically the weather widget Google should have made. Fantastic. No GPS required now either! END EDIT. I am based in Australia, and this app does not appear to work, most likely do to open weather or wherever it gets its data from.

Custom locations have been added, try them out
Good idea, needs work It will not function without Google location history enabled. Which I never do because it drains my battery like crazy. So this app is unusable for me. Inputting custom location says failed to update or no location found. Good luck dev! (Nexus 6p running DP5)
