CLEVELAND, Ohio — Morning rain, and getting colder. Temperatures will start out warming to the mid 40s this morning, but as the latest storm clears the temperatures will plunge back down.

We will be around 38 degrees this afternoon, and it gets even chillier tonight in the upper 20s with a chance of snow showers.

Water temperatures on Lake Erie here in Cleveland are around 34 degrees, but the cold air streaming down the area tonight will be much colder. The roller coaster and temperature swing continues.

Milder air will return on Wednesday becoming more pronounced on Thursday, as we climb from near 50 Wednesday to the 60s Thursday. The warm-up doesn’t arrive alone. Showers and thunderstorms will take over Thursday afternoon, followed by colder air for Easter Weekend.

Skies don’t look exceptionally cooperative for Saturday morning’s lunar eclipse, either. We will keep you posted as we draw closer to that astronomical event.

After a super cold February, March hasn’t been exactly kind to us either. So far, we are nearly 5° BELOW in terms of the average temperatures including the highs and the lows for the month.
