**UPDATE: This alert has been canceled, and the child is safe**
SMITH CENTER, Kan. — Authorities activated an Amber Alert for 2-year-old Walker Erickson on Wednesday afternoon in northern Kansas. Walker was last seen by his grandmother at about 2:15 p.m., and his mother was seen in the area and may have taken him from the 400 block of E. 4th Street.
The national Amber Alert website says 26-year-old Marissa Barrett may have been driving a white Dodge Neon to Hastings, Nebraska with Florida tags, no letters or numbers were specified. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation gave an update saying that Walker and Barrett were dropped off in Kearney, Nebraska, and the driver of the white Neon returned to Smith Center.
They may now be with a man traveling west from Kearney in a beige or tan four-door car with Colorado tags. They may be headed to Holdridge, Nebraska.
Walker is two feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. He was last seen wearing a lime green shirt and a diaper.
