(KTVI) –  An accident on Interstate 270 caused a major traffic jam Tuesday morning.  It happened in the westbound lanes of I-270 at Lindbergh around 6:45 a.m.   By 8 a.m.,  only one lane was getting by.  It involved an Ford Explorer and a dump truck that overturned.

The highway was blocked for nearly two hours right in the middle of the morning rush as crews tried to clear the scene.

When the accident happened, concrete from the median came loose and ended up in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 270.  Cars in those lanes apparently hit the concrete slowing traffic on the eastbound side as well.

There does not appear to be any serious injuries in the accident.
