LEHI, Utah  – Police arrested a man Saturday night after a local classified ad led them to believe the man was attempting to sell items stolen in a series of vehicle burglaries in the area.

Jay Haylet Easton, 27, was arrested after Lehi police arranged a buy-back of those suspected stolen items.

Sgt. Damon Faught with the Lehi City Police Department said detectives investigating a series of vehicle burglaries in the Lehi area noticed some of the stolen items posted on classified ads online.

Detectives arranged to meet with the person selling the items, which led to the recovery of some of the stolen items and the arrest of Easton.

Easton has been booked into the Utah County Jail, and police are investigating other suspects who may have been involved in the vehicle burglaries.
