We’re big fans of Audi Exclusive builds. The idea of tailoring your new Audi to your specific tastes in the age of mass manufacturing is one that we find most appealing. In most cases, this usually includes a special paint code. However, we find this Audi R8 V10 Spyder sent over to us from our good friend Jack Broder at Fletcher Jones Audi in Chicago to have gone above and beyond.
First, there is the paint. Audi Exclusive says it can do nearly anything and a previous post we’ve made whereby an owner matched the color of his yacht seemed to prove that. In this case, the owner went to a favorite paint code from another manufacturer. And, while you’ll see Silverlake Blue (LK5R) on Bentley models, this is the only Audi thus far to get that particular color.
Of course, Audi Exclusive can do whatever you want on pretty much the entire lineup in Europe, but tailoring beyond paint color, is limited mainly to A8/S8 and R8 models. This being an R8, the book was essentially open and the buyer worked closely with Fletcher Jones Audi in order to commission this very specialized car.
