You're confusing the word "war" with fighting terrorists. And, do you remember when Iraq invaded Kuwait? Kuwait was an ally of the U.S, and they ran with their tail between their legs all the way back to Iraq...and the U.S had complete superiority in the Air after 24 hours. I guess that's not winning though. I mean, you know...Saddam "won" that war, didn't he?
Ask yourself, which NATION would wage war on the U.S and not be labeled certifiably insane? Which one. North Korea? Yep...they're insane.
While visiting a US Carrier the other day (USS George Washington in Norfolk, VA) with some Australian military members, I asked one of them "how many carriers do you have?" and the answer was "none." I was a bit confused...and, they simply said "Why should we buy them, when we have great friends like you?" I've served with members of Australia..including fighter pilots, and have always been impressed with their professionalism and expertise. I had dinner with my good Australian friend last week, who is serving a 3 year tour in Virginia...and, we had long talks about both countries. I can tell you, we agreed on 99% of everything. I can't wait to visit his home next year, near Sydney, when he returns to Australia.
The point about the "no carriers" was taken...and, I'll tell you...I've never seen so many U.S haters on a website than this one. I'd be embarrassed, if I were Australian...
