Milton Black May 2016 Astrological Forecast

With the Sun (sumptuous) and Venus (incomes) in transit through the financial sector of Taurus (finance) during the first three weeks of May, this aspect will pressurise matters involving extravagance, borrowings, debt, greed and financial wastefulness on a global scale. This will certainly be an out-of-the-ordinary and surprising month directly affecting global financial transactions, international trade, bank loans, insurance, financial brokers, health, pharmaceutical, education, wage earners, pensioners, real estate investors, stocks and bonds. This month could be classed as the calm before the storm and daily signals will concern many from the big end of town to the small investor.

The reason for this surprise trepidation in financial circles, Mercury (trading, meetings, negotiations and decision making) is now in retrograde until the 21st followed also by Mars (energy, action, impatience) in retrograde for the next two months. When planets turn retrograde, in most cases it influences the negative and initiates a general slowdown or re-think of plans and policies. With the Sun (wasteful) Venus (cash) and Jupiter (stocks) all connecting on a grand scale until the 16th, the world economic outlook this month is loaded with many extravagant blow-outs that may have the International Monetary Fund in damage control due to most countries increasing debt or facing financial depression, corruption, economic downgrades and political upheavals.

Jupiter (banks) will clash with Saturn (restriction) from the 17th. These two planets are arch enemies. Reason? Jupiter (expansion) will be held back by Saturn (limitation) forcing banks to tighten up on charges, lending and non-performing loans. Viewing many of the top countries' horoscopes, Germany, Japan, USA, UK, France, Italy, China, South Korea and Saudi Arabia, Australia, all appear to be heading into deeper debt, triggering significant concern for the global economy especially from 22nd May to 3rd August 2016. Debt will escalate globally and become more difficult to manage from this month onward and a restructuring of debt will be required by governments and cutbacks will be utmost in budgets. Extravagance needs to be restricted and this could be difficult due to the combinations of Venus (spendthrift) connecting with Jupiter (luxury), Pluto (greed and corruption), Neptune (incomprehensible). This combination will put pressure on governments, banks and currencies. If financial restrictions are not adhered to by governments, the world will be in recession over the June-August quarter when Mars enters the financial sign of Scorpio and the trading sign of Sagittarius, clashing with Saturn (limitation) and Neptune (confusion) on the way.

China's horoscope continues to show a slow recovery, however the Yuan will hold its value due to China's foreign exchange program spreading its currency around and not relying wholly on the US dollar. The influx of Chinese capital into Australia is predicted to rise considerably from May through to September, with many agriculture and mining properties and leases being bought by Chinese investors. With Jupiter (expansion) in Virgo (statistics) and Neptune (secrets) in the zodiac sign of Pisces (pretenders) opposing each other, care should be taken by governments that the Chinese do not position themselves and their foreign investments near top secret establishments, for this could create concern for security agencies in the future.

Strange as it may be, although the planetary aspects for May seem basically positive on the surface due to government conservatism and some bullish market speculation especially in commodities that will influence the Dow on a positive note. Inside the financial and parliamentary circles it will be all smoke and mirrors, so be careful with your finances and overall investments this month, for there will be difficulties by the Full Moon May 22nd. Bank shares could also be in for an adjustment between May and September. The European Banks are predicted to be hit the hardest during May to August through the lowering of interest rates. With the fatal Jupiter/Saturn combination connecting this month, many banks will fear that depositors will withdraw their savings in favour of stashing their funds in a home safe or under the proverbial mattress and this would naturally affect future bank profits. European banks are heading into dangerous territory, however Germany's horoscope appears to hold its own through the wake of fierce interest rate competition and legislative adjustments.

The Australian federal budget will be bought down on the 3rd at 7:30 pm AEST by Treasurer Scott Morison and, according to Australia's horoscope, the budget appears to be well thought out and the fiscal policies appear to be acceptable to the Australian public as the theme will be conservative growth. At the time of the budget the Sun (confidence) and Jupiter (beneficial) will be in a favorable trine position in the zodiac sign of Taurus (money) and Virgo (welfare and services). Although welfare benefits and some general services will be tightened there appears to be no direct taxation apart from high company earners that should not affect constituents to any large extent. However indirect taxes will increase and this adjustment during May to August is predicted to pressure an increase in the cost of living for Australians. With Mars (action) in the zodiac sign of Sagittarius (communication) we could see an increased budget allocation for new innovative technology and defence programs, security, research, renewable energy, infrastructure and incentive business programs. It appears small business and those who save funds through bonds will be winners in this year's budget. Superannuation and pensioners will be stable with the introduction of new incentives for taxation, work practice and savings. Be extra careful with real estate this month. If you are purchasing, go for a fixed term for the first few years, as interest rates will start to rise once the banks begin to feel the pressure of the next few months.

The New Moon on the 7th in the financial sign of Taurus should see the markets encounter some bullish tendencies with many commodities showing an increase. Exports and the Australian dollar should be running high during most of May and with Mercury (information) and Pluto (research) we could see breaking news in the Biotech and renewable energy industry. As previously predicted "sand" will be big business for our global future and this investment technology could triple in value in the future. The Saudi's horoscope indicates millions of dollars will be invested in sand technology and High Yield Conversion from Low-Cost Sand to High-Capacity Si Electrodes for Li-Ion Batteries and low cost mass produced wafer-type solar panels for housing and industry.

Pushing the global financial markets aside, there will be some happy moments this month for travellers and holiday deals will be plentiful. Weather patterns due to the continuous El Nino effect could boost tourism in those areas that have previously experienced a downturn in profits in the past due to adverse weather conditions and immigration issues. Cruise lines and flight packages combined with budget type accommodation appears to be advantageous and competitive, so shop around you could buy yourself a great holiday deal. There is a warning for travellers, with Mercury (mind), Mars (impatience) and Jupiter (complacency) all in retrograde; it is important to check and recheck bookings and accommodation before embarking on your travels. You can expect delays, cancellations, mix-ups, disappointments, distraction, losses, misplacements of goods, communication or internet problems, transport breakdowns, accidents or health problems. You may also become forgetful where you left things. Some good advice, don't travel without health insurance during May.

With Mercury (intelligence) forming a positive connection with Pluto (underworld), May will be a breakthrough month for police and drug enforcement, especially during 7th - 10th, 12th -17th and 25th -31st. Many arrests are indicated, especially individuals and criminal gangs that have been under surveillance for some time by authorities for terrorist activities, scams, corruption, tax evasion, robbery, fraud and money laundering. Fire and electrical hazards appear high on the list of incidents in May and emergency services will be busy. With the after-effects of the solar and Luna eclipse of last month, further seismic activity can be expected around the far Pacific Rim. Venus (love) connects with Jupiter (legal) this month, bringing to conclusion many family separations, divorces, settlements and compensations. The magistrates and family courts are predicted to be overloaded with civil cases during May and with Mercury (communications) in retrograde, many appearances will be postponed, set aside for a future date or held over due to the lack of evidence or a requirement for more time to gather the facts of the matter. If you are expecting a settlement, inheritance, probate, insurance claim, loans, extended credit or agreement over an important issue, then expect to wait a few weeks before you receive it. Communications this month will be slow or delayed.

From the 21st the Sun (achievements) will enter Gemini (media) and with an array of planetary aspects favouring a boost in media, theatre, show biz, film, TV and stage performances. This is a month that could bring wonderful surprises to those who wish to enter the entertainment industry or follow a career as a screenwriter, producer, artist, performer, editor, journalist, photographer, sound production, recording artist, or road crew. May will also be a month full of surprise media and news stories regarding future media ownership and amalgamations from May to August 3 onward. Expect to see reforms and much media diversity with new players entering the arena.

Prime Minister Turnbull's popularity polls will start to climb once again from the New Moon of the 7th, as the budget begins to sink into the minds of the Australian community. When the Sun enters Gemini on the 21st it will align favourably with his natal Moon and Mars helping to boost his popularity and acceptance as Prime Minister. Turnbull's horoscope indicates a win for the coalition on July 2 as the moon (emotions) transits through Gemini (news) and Mars (victory) links positively with his natal Jupiter (luck) and Uranus (freedom). Turnbull will win with a reasonable majority; it will not be a hung parliament. However it appears he will not hold the balance of power in the Senate.

Turning to the USA and Donald Trump (Gemini), the month of May will be a winning month for Trump as Venus (popularity) moves towards his apex of his horoscope from 21 May onward. His planetary aspects for the month are becoming stronger by the day. Trump will be hard to beat for the Republican presidential candidate. Love him or hate him, there is one thing for sure about Trump, he is twofold more honest than Obama and Clinton, he does not like liars. Trump has business acumen, fortitude and he likes to say what he thinks, and try new ways of doing things, hence his success in leadership and business. He is also extremely patriotic and wants to see the USA deficit reduced, a bigger military, better health system and an upturn in employment for all Americans. His horoscope indicates he will be good for America, immaterial what other world leaders say about him. His strong Leo/Virgo ascendant and Moon in Sagittarius make Trump a determined leader. This is perhaps what the USA needs, after the Obama era of disarray.
