I'm going to be cat shopping soon and want to downsize from a Maine Coon to something small/smaller with shorter fur. If I go with a cat, its going to have to be a shorthair, if I go longhair, it will be small. I'd like stripes (or calico). These are a few on my list - Abyssinian, Balinese, American Bobtail, Russian Blue, Tabby, or maybe a rescue cat. What are you thinking? Any recommendations or other cats I should be considering, either bred or rescue?
