Hi. I'm building a performance commuter out of a '90s titanium mtb frame. My current city bike weighs 39 lbs when equipped with lock, lights, handlebar bag, etc. I'm hoping to keep my new city bike under 25 lbs with a Tubus titanium rear rack, and two rear panniers. I'm leaning toward the yellow Ortliebs because they are high quality, and visible with regards to the color and reflective areas. I will use this bike instead of a car... groceries, clothing, etc.

Are there any other panniers I should consider, especially ones that are lighter than the Ortliebs? I would emphasize weight over longevity and looks. If they are light, and last 5 years, that's reasonable. We purchased the Linus canvas panniers for my wife's bike, for example. They are high quality, and look really nice with her Brooks saddle, but are super heavy.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations and advice.
