I need to replace my old PC (which I used for 7 years, wow). I use my PC for surfing internet, occasionally watching movies, and most of the time playing games such as WOW. Therefore I figured that I don't need a very high-end video card, but yet I want the PC can last for a few years like my previous PC did.
I initially wanted to choose AMD, but then heard Intel is better for most of the games. So here is my list:
INTEL® CORE™ I5-6400 Processor
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 (or maybe GTX 950? GTX1060 seems overkill for what I need now and double the price of 950)
Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD
Corsair Vengeance Lpx 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4-2400MHZ C14 Memory Kit 1.2V
GIGABYTE Z170 MX-GAMING 5 LGA 1151 Intel Z170 mATX Motherboard
Corsair CX Series CX650M 650W ATX 12V 80 Plus Bronze Certified Modular Power Supply
Thermaltake Chaser A31 ATX Mid Tower Case
I can use my current 1TB hard drive, DVD optical drive, and I can transfer my current Win 7 pro license to the new PC.
Anything I missed? Is this a reasonable gaming configuration?
thanks
