2015 Lexus RCF /w Performance Package!

Out the door - $82300

NorthWest Lexus in Brampton. My sales guy and sales manager respectively: Ryan, Hardeep - Both great to deal with.

I took delivery of this car last week and am loving it. I believe this to be a very good deal.

Cost put in perspective:

-When the car came out just under a year ago, the exact same car with exact same configuration was about $103k out the door.

-Currently a 10k after tax manufacturer's rebate

-If using Unhaggle (which has got great reviews) 3% is above dealers cost is considered a fair deal. This was about 1.5% BELOW cost according to Unhaggle.

-I contacted most dealerships in the GTA. No one was willing to get anywhere near this price and basically told me to go get it if I was really getting it at this price.

-I am lead to believe if you want one without the Performance package - You should be able to have it around the $77k mark.

-If financing/leasing, they have .9% finance/lease rates available

-The 10k and .9% promo are scheduled for this month so this could go up or down Oct 1st. (The RC [non-f version] had 5k manufacter's rebate in august but only 2k in September)

The good:

5.0L V8 engine with 467 horses.

Fully loaded - radar cruise control, lane assist, camera, gps, sports leather seats, heated/cooled seats, memory seats, 19 inch wheels, etc. too much to list.

The bad:

-My research concludes that there are few cars left on the lots across the country. If you're not too picky on colour combos etc - it shouldn't be bad. If you have a certain external/internal colour in mind that you are married to - it might be difficult. They are willing to pull in cars from other dealerships for particular colours but the price will go up about $1300 or so for delivery.

-400 pounds heavier than some competitors like M4. But I'll probably never track it so this doesn't affect me.

-91 octane gas (but what higher end car doesn't need this?)

This is more of a GT car than a track car. I wanted luxury along with power and was willing to give up a few fractions of a second from 0 to 100 to get the luxury (compared to some of it's competitors that are made more for speed at the cost of the luxury feel). I wanted the reliability of Lexus, and wanted to stay a good 10k-20k cheaper than some of the european competitors. First week impression: this is a lot of car for 82k car.

Edit1: Other points to note: Ontario pays 13%HST on cars. Your province may pay much lower taxes so don't forget to take that into account.

Edit2: I'm open to hearing XYZ car is in the same class and better... but please provide the current cost of that car in it's latest model. There's no point saying XYZ car is better when it costs 25k more than this. This is RFD afterall - we all love a good deal!

Good luck!!
