These simple rules are here so that everyone can enjoy and benefit from the forum equally.

No Abuse - Disagreement is fine, but anyone aggressively and offensively abusing other forum members may be banned without warning.

English only - Please type properly and use 'real' words. For the benefit of other forum users, please do not type in mobile 'text' language.

Swearing - Please do not use swear words in the title/subject of your post. Bad language will not be tolerated - excessive and pointless swearing and the user will be banned.

No adult content - these forums are 'open access' and can be viewed by people of all ages. Please do not post content of an adult nature - or post links to sites where adult content may be viewed. Putting a 'NSFW' warning in your thread title does not make it ok - just don't do it. Moderators will remove posts or threads where such content or links have been posted and may ban the user responsible.

Usernames - the owners of the site reserve the right to deny access to members whose usernames are deemed offensive or considered to be unacceptable for use on a public forum.

Capitals/Uppercase posting - Please don't use 'caps lock' for your thread title or content.

Calling - No 'calling'. If you are trying to contact another forum member directly, then send them a PM (private message). Do not post a message for them on the forums, as such messages will be deleted.

Repeat Posts - Most breaking news stories usually get posted several times on here. Once by the person who gets there first, and then several more times by people who have not bothered to check the forum before posting it again. Please take some time to scan the first couple of pages of the forum before you post your new 'exclusive, ground-breaking scoop' - because there is a very good chance that someone else has probably already posted it. If in doubt - use the forum search facility.

Thread Titles - Thread titles should be descriptive. If you have a question, put the whole question in the thread title. A thread with the title 'Do you know?' or 'What do you think?' is completely useless.

Illegal Riding - This site was set up to facilitate the promotion of MX, Enduro and other legal off-road motorcycle activities. Illegal riding only damages our sport and as such any promotion, support or organising of illegal riding directly opposes the aims of this site. Any thread or post content which advocates, supports or seeks to arrange illegal riding activity will be deleted and any forum member seen to be supporting illegal riding in any way will receive a ban.

No 'USA v UK' trolls - Sadly, this rule has become necessary due to the actions of certain individuals in recent months. Although this is a UK forum, we welcome discussion on all aspects of international MX/SX, including foreign championships like the AMA series. However, we will not tolerate these discussions descending into 'USA v UK/Europe' slanging matches. Anyone initiating or inciting such arguments will receive a warning - either publicly or via PMs. Anyone ignoring these warnings will be banned.

As a general principle, any threads, or posts, which are considered by the moderating team to be deliberately designed to provoke confrontation rather than reasonable discussion/debate will be locked or deleted. Individual members involved will be dealt with according to the severity of their comments.

Factory Media has a zero tolerance policy toward individuals who come into the forums just to tear it apart and spoil the enjoyment for others. Any member found to be doing so will be banned without warning.

Moderator Decisions - You might not agree with how they mod the forum all of the time, but without mods these forums would degenerate very quickly. Mods do make mistakes. If you have a problem with any of the moderators' decisions, send a PM to 'Relic' and he will investigate. Do not post your grievances in a new thread. Whinging about mods in public will not be tolerated.

No commercial posts - We reserve the right to remove any posts from non-advertisers relating directly to commercial products, services or websites. Please do not post material which directly promotes or advertises any commercial products, services or websites; any such material will be immediately removed and persistent spammers will be banned.

Protection of commercial interests - The MX Trax forums are owned, operated and supported by Factory Media, which is a commercial business. As such, we reserve the right to remove any post or thread which we feel compromises our commercial interests. We have a duty to protect these commercial interests, as well as those of our advertisers and commercial partners.

Spoilers - If posting a thread which may contain results of current/recent race events (particularly US based racing) please do not put the result in the thread title and always add 'Spoiler' or 'Results Warning'.

Links to streaming web sites - Please do not post links to unofficial streaming sites (such as for AMA, SX, etc). Many of these sites contain malware, viruses and other applications which you may not want on your PC. We will remove links to such sites wherever and whenever we see them. Persistent posters will be warned and may receive a ban. Moto Magazine and MXTrax may have agreements with commercial partners whose business may be impacted from the posting of such links, and we have a duty to protect those interests.

Finally, remember, this is a public forum which is read by many people. It is here for the mutual benefit of all Motocross riders and fans. Please bear this in mind when posting, try not to cause any offence, not everyone appreciates bad language. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, if you do not agree with someone's opinion; do not to take it personally - just agree to disagree! Also, try to ensure that all posts are in the general interest. For example, creating a post just to show a picture of your new 'Yoko Roost Deflector Sticker' is not interesting to anyone except you! Most of all, have fun!
