South Florida communities will honor the memory of 9/11 victims at observances on Friday. Several fire departments and law enforcement departments will observe a moment of silence or hold events.

Here is a list of some events across South Florida:

Miami-Dade County: Mayor Carlos Gimenez will speak at 8:30 a.m. at Miami-Dade Fire Station 3, 3911 SW 82nd Ave. and at the MDPD 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at 11a.m. at Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th St. A National Day of Service and Remembrance volunteer service project will be held Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Arcola Lakes Park, 1301 NW 83rd Street in Miami. This community event is hosted by Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces with the support of the Miami Dolphins Special Teams driven by Chevy and AARP Foundation.

Miami: Members of the fire department will line up in front of the fire stations and the administrative buildings at 8:46 a.m.

Miami Beach: 9 a.m. ceremony at Miami Beach Fire Station #2, 2300 Pine Tree Dr. At 11 a.m., Miami Marlins pitcher A.J. Ramos joins Miami Beach firefighter/paramedics to experience a “day-in-the-life” of fire crew members. Ramos will tour the facility and spend several hours as an honorary firefighter/paramedic. The event with Ramos is at Miami Beach Fire Station #4 at 7940 Collins Ave.

Marlins: A Miami Beach Fire Department truck will be on display during Patriotic Night at Marlins Park at 6:30 p.m..Visitors have access to tour the truck and try on fire gear.

Broward Sheriff’s Office: Patriot Day Ceremony, 10:30 a.m., Signature Grand, 6900 W. State Road 84, Davie. The guest speaker will be BSO Detective Gerardo Lopez, who formerly worked for the New York Police Department and was in Manhattan on 9/11.

Fort Lauderdale: Remembrance ceremony at Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum, 1022 W. Las Olas Blvd., 9:30 a.m.

Hollywood: Arts Park at Young Circle 7:30 p.m. concert sponsored by the Florida 9th District American Legion featuring the American Legion Symphonic Band as well as tributes to military personnel, law enforcement and fire departments. Free admission. Limited bench seating. Bring a blanket or beach chair.

Pembroke Pines: 8:30 a.m. ceremony at the 9/11 memorial near City Hall, 10300 block of Pines Boulevard.
