I am posting this on all the major websites selling your products online and the Better Business Bureau, Lenovo! Fix my Yoga 13 and stop the bad excuses for not delivering on what you promised. Service tag #8001426742

"I bought the high-end Yoga 13 about 8 months ago, along with an extended warranty covering damages. This is a great touchscreen computer - until you need to have it repaired.

After the laptop was damaged, I contacted Lenovo's repair department and was told that they'd send me a box and that it would take 5-7 business days for it to get fixed.

I sent it in July 30 and it was registered as "received" on Lenovo's repair status webpage on August 2. On August 5th it cleared Lenovo's billing authorization dept. (3 days to figure out that I have an extended warranty covering the damage when I bought the computer and warranty directly from Lenovo's own webpage and told them that I had such a warranty when I called in the damage, which the service rep confirmed...REALLY??? don't you guys use computers or is it just that you can't read serial numbers?) Today, it is August 23rd, and after about 23 phone calls and being promised 5 "escalations" to higher ups (who the service reps are not allowed to transfer you to), Lenovo-speak for "oh, you sent us something to repair?", its status was finally updated: It is on hold due to a shortage of parts.

Now, you may think "just a single customer having a bad experience." I'm certainly having that, but I'm far from alone. If you don't believe me, go to Lenovo's own webpage and enter "Lenovo Community" in the search box, then follow this track: "Lenovo Community > Special Interest Discussions > General Discussion > Order related customer service concerns."

You will find 578 horror stories about repair delays lasting MONTHS. Also, Lenovo's Support page ostensibly crashed on 5.8.2013, as it says in one place" and data prior to that date "may" have been lost. I wonder how many horror stories they had to delete to try to cover up that their customer support and repairs dept. are a complete and utter mess, where nobody knows anything and every part is apparently "in short supply." Also, don't bother to buy the expensive "super-extended" warranty, which promises that your computer will be repaired in your home. Lenovo will just say to send it in unless your computer was run over by a steamroller, because they "can't send out a tech without knowing if it is just a small part that needs replacement, since the techs don't have all the spare parts with them." Of course not, since they apparently don't have enough parts in stock at their repairs HQ! Total waste of money.

DO NOT purchase a Lenovo computer until Lenovo fixes these issues. Because if you should need any kind of repairs, warranty or not, chances are you're going to be without your computer for a pretty long time. This is the first and last time I'm buying a Lenovo or IBM product."
