Today I met up with my customer at Venitian shores. We headed out in 3 to five foot seas to a yellowtail spot in 100 feet, we anchored up and deployed the chum as usual and a few minutes later we had a ball of speedo on the bag and Behind them were the yellow tails, we started catching as I also had another customer on the bottom rod and I pulled out the hoop net and caught around 30 speedo so have enough bait, we kept catching a few more yellowtails and moved to 120 deep, no chumming and started the mutton fishing, we had more than a hand full of fish hooked that would just make one more drag pull and cut off. Guess what the dogs were down there and maibe a few big cuberas eating every speedo we put down. But we had a few nice muttons a margate and released a hand full of grouper. We had action in every bait dropped within minutes, my customers had fun and fought some of these fish almost to the boat before the shark took the fish. But we did put some nice fish in the cooler. I'm fishing tomorrow out here in the keys again and I was invited to dinner, by my customers and to stay over, since I'm fishing close by again tomorrow.
