Hi,

Since a few days i'm having connection issue.

Last week my connection was around 50/60ish Mbps and now i can't go over 9 Mbps (which most of times means 3...)

I was looking into my modem (Motorola SB6141) logs and found a lot of issues.

First one : Nothing seems started and the modem status is offline. For this part, i don't really know if it has an impact on anything.

DOCSIS Downstream Channel Acquisition Not started

DOCSIS Ranging Not started

Establish IP Connectivity using DHCP Not started

Establish Time Of Day Not started

Transfer Operational Parameters through TFTP Not started

Register Connection Not started

Cable Modem Status Offline

Initialize Baseline Privacy Done

Second one : I'm having a timeout on one of my channels and sometimes on a second one as well.

Frequency                  36400000 Hz  29500000 Hz  22600000 Hz

Ranging Service ID     8780  8780  8780

Symbol Rate               5.120 Msym/sec  5.120 Msym/sec  5.120 Msym/sec

Ranging Status           T4 TimeOut  Success  Success

Third : Only IPv6 really ? Come on guys, everybody know IPv6 is not yet stable so.. How can i get the nice IPv4 back..

Modem's IP Mode IPv6 Only

Fourth: I guess the biggest problem... These are the logs from my modem. And this is recurent... I'm having this kind of logs for the past week.

For more info, i live in a multifamily house around Wicker Park (Chicago).

I have a splitter inside my appartment which split connection between tv & modem which i guess is standard. But having 3 feet of wire (both tv and modem) for 0.5 feet between the splitter and the modem or tv is way too much..

Outside of my place, the wired schema is absolutely insane. It goes from splitter to splitter and most of them are just "useless" since only 1 wire is deserved from another one.. Not saying that all of those are really old and face the bad weather (snow, rain).

I'm having a lot of issues with my connection and to be honest it starts to drive me crazy. Plus all those time chatting with those refs on the online customer service and still nothing has been reported or done except sending "signals" to the modem..

Please do something...
