So I went online to buy a computer for my mother in law. As I was trying to checkout, the system suddenly comes back with " the system is busy, please try again later". After that I call and order the computer. The guy screws up enough of the order with drastic miss spellings. Enough so that the discover card people call us to verify that the order was truly from us. Then best buy calls me on my way home and says the card was refused ( mind you, that this after the discover people had called us). So we get on the a phone again and they run the card once more. With corrected spellings. It finally runs through without a problem. I get the email that says the order has been processed and another email will be coming shortly that will tell me when the order is able to be picked up at the store.
The email comes and I hop in my car and run down to the store. They put a computer monitor on the counter and ask me to sign the receipt. I ask " where's the computer?" The sales lady says it wasn't in stock and they had removed it from the order. Well, without a computer I don't need another monitor. So I cancelled the monitor too.
Basically I wasted about 4 hours total with absolutely nothing bought.
Truth be told, I went to Walmart and bought basically the same computer for slightly more, but without the horrendous runaround. I won't be ordering anything from them anymore. I'm sure I can get it at Walmart next time.
