Hi all. First time poster but long time lover of the amazing all about jazz site.
Every three weeks, I host the Sunday Jazz show on a little local radio station called Radio Active here in Wellington, New Zealand. I have recently been interviewing a number of interesting folk so I thought I should share the love. You can check out my previous shows by streaming them at my mixcloud page. The show runs for three hours and you can tune in live Sundays 11am to 2pm GMT+12 on their site or several online radio streaming services and apps.
Recent interviews I have conducted include Shelagh Magadza (artistic director of the Wellington Festival, including the Jazz festival), Tom Jenkinson (aka Squarepusher), Tony Buck (from The Necks), German trombonist Nils Wogram (of Root 70 fame), Hayden Chisholm (of Root 70 and sideman on many Burnt Friedman releases) and Billy Cobham. My next show will feature an interview with Swiss minimalist pianist, Nik Bärtcsh.
