We at Forum 32 had seen the write up with VMs on IF, the link to which had been given by Shilpi Dhar and on request she sent it to us as we found it a tremendous effort by the people involved in creating this write ups, VMs and collages. For a change, we like the way, many of pictures that we provide have been used so well, especially, in the collage below. We really appreciate your efforts and Gorky has been told about this. Also, we shall ensure that the team gets to see this. Thank you for all the effort.
Putting together must have been an effort, for just to collate it here, took us heck of a time. And this is the longest ever post made on Forum 32. For some reason, the pictures that you all have used, does not show up. We shall try and work on that.
About The Show – Credits – Dhriti Khan
Arjun-Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek debuted on August 11, 2012 on StarPlus at 7 PM. The show is creation of 4Lions Films production and vision of Gorky Max. Initial cast included ShaleenMalhotra as ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte, Behzaad Khan as ACP and chief of ETF SameereRathod, Riya Mukerjee as research specialist, Siddarth Sen as Shree, the technical expert and KetanKarande as Chotu,the commando.
It later added three additional casts including Sheetal Shah as the ammunition specialist Ayesha Kapoor, Ritu Chauhan as Liza D’Cruz as the forensic expert and Mrunal Thakur as Sakshi Anand, investigative reporter.
Together these characters form a special crimes unit called Emergency Task Force (ETF)
Although the show revolves around one main character Arjun Suryakant Rawte each member of the team is essential to crack the cases that are given to ETF to solve.
Arjun is not just a different crime thriller but it has a distinct style of solving Crimes that are from the most simple to the most horrendous.
The show not only entertains but it also leaves one with food for thoughts at the end of each episode. It also addresses some very important social issues that we deal with in our everyday lives.

A journey which started from the schools in Lucknow and moved on to the Hindu college in Delhi both studying and doing theaters but the final destination still awaited him.
It was Mumbai the city of dreams where he spread his wings and moved towards the accomplishment of his goal ‘ to be a director
Finally in 2008, His wife Gul and he formed the production house named” 4 Lions Films”.
Currently he is the Creative Producer of Arjun.

Gorky holds a degree in English Literature from Hindu College at Delhi University.

‘ He started working on documentaries at a very young age of 18 and produced documentaries for many illustrious NGOs like the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and Aga Khan Foundation.

‘ He won a gold medal at the International Video Olympiad in Brazil at the age of 20.

‘ He went on to work with some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry like Subhash Ghai, Kundan Shah and Red Chillies Entertainment.

‘ He has worked on five feature films and 40 ad films as an associate. He has directed over 2000 hours of content including TV, feature films, ad films and music videos.

Through the hangout we came to know he needed to visualize things for instance he never liked chemistry as he couldn’t see Hydrogen and oxygen combining but he liked literature. He also can play musical instruments like piano, harmonium, clarinet, cello . His direction credits also include “Humse Hai Liife” on Channel V and “Arjun” for Star Plus for 4 Lions Films.
Being the creative head of Arjun it’s him who makes everything on the screen look real and his impeccable direction makes the serial a must watch. Everyone remembers the first episode of Arjun the twists, the interaction between Arjun and Riya, the famous pink pen, then boat chase and of course ‘Sadrak?a?aya Khalanigraha?aya’ and now the Sharadh scene which had got tears to many eyes, the pain both Arjun and Sameer on losing Roshini and of course the underlying care masked by anger on both sides
He is part of discussion with the writers of the show and it is his vision on which the crux of the story is based. Be it Arjun Suryakant’ s Rawte and his pain of losing his wife Roshini Rawte or his equation with Riya and now Sakshi .The friendship turned sour between Sam- Arjun or personal stories of Chotu, Shree and Ayesha each of the characters live in Gorky’s head. When an episode is written, it is through his guidance and visions that these characters have their interpersonal relationship scene presented to us.
Arjun as a TV series is one of its kind with the right blend of action, emotion, drama, thrill and message associated with every episode. Making each episode different from the other means new locations, new supporting actors, another story .With all these to be taken care , shooting of the episodes is in itself a task as there isn’t a fixed location or set for it. In spite all these barriers Gorky and his team has given us a mystery to crack every weekend and of course a thought to ponder on .In addition to these the Suraksha Chakra is the need to today time where they reach out to the wider audience and give tips to manage any emergency situation along with being vigilant .
Arjun- Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek, a one of its kind action thriller, that was created with a vision of not just entertainment but also with thought of spreading message be it of human failures, interpersonal relationship that thrive in situations that seem unlikely and how men and women in uniform live their life on duty and outside it.

‘Looking beyond the obvious’ and ‘fierce determination’ to seek justice is what defines ACP Arjun..
A young, good-looking and honest cop with razor sharp analytical skills.. His out of the box thinking and no-nonsense attitude has earned him respect (and fear) within the Police force..
His past life..
Once upon a time, he personified life.. Being a cop was his dream and destiny.. He went on to become a Police officer angering his father who in turn disowned him and hence he has a soft corner for young people who follow their heart and live life on their own terms..
‘Tere jaisa yaar kahaan..’- Arjun and Sam..
Best friends with Sameer in the past from but the duo don’t see each other eye to eye and are now reduced to being Rawte and Rathore..
The reason for rift between the two friends is related to Roshni’s death, who was Arjun’s wife and also Sameer’s best friend.. Sameer blames Arjun and his hot-headedness for Roshni’s death and though Arjun has never denied it nor accepted it, it clearly hurts him..
Though he doesn’t expect Sam to forgive him, but yet he wishes for Rathore to believe in him someday..

She walked into his life and swept him off his feet..The young cop fell in love and later proposed marriage to her.. They were living a fairytale romance until she was brutally snatched away from him.. He had watched on as life left her eyes, plunging him into despair and heart-wrenching guilt for the rest of his life..
‘Meri jaan.. woh toh kabki jaa chuki hai..’
His guilt, pain and longing is evident from the repetitive flashbacks that we’ve seen so far.. Visions of her murder refuse to let him alone and haunt him even in his sleep, that is, if he sleeps at all..
‘Mujhe yunhi karke khwabon se judaa.. Jaane kahan chupke baitha hai khuda..’
Arjun keeps away from all that is beautiful, colourful and reminds him of her.. Seeking revenge for his wife’s brutal murder is the sole purpose of his life and is probably the only weak nerve the strong cop possesses.. He often loses his calm at the mere mention of ‘Sikandar’, Roshni’s killer and ends up doing more damage than he intends to..

Arjun is now an integral part of the ETF, being their second-in-command.. His unorthodox ways of investigation have earned him his team member’s faith and unconditional support.. He in turn is slowly turning into a ‘team-man’, placing his faith in them time and again..
Be it lending a ear to Chotu as he narrates his tragic childhood or appreciating Shree for having cracked a tough nut, or helping Riya overcome her fear of shooting criminals, Arjun stands by them when needed but also doesn’t think twice before reprimanding them for their callousness at work, though very rarely..
He respects Ayesha’s abilities for being the responsible cop she is and never once rebuked her when she taunted him for having ruined her cover.. His guilt on being responsible for Sakshi getting shot made him display a soft side of him, which he often keeps under wraps.. He seldom lets his personal differences with Rathore get in the way of their work, and together as a team, they’re formidable..

He is manipulative and shrewd when it comes to nailing smart criminals.. He never underestimates them; in fact, even appreciates their intelligence at times.. But he knows just when and how to go in for the kill.. ’Uske aage ki ek chaal, main khud hi sochta hoon..’

He has given up on life and lives a reclusive life, fighting criminals and seeking justice for the wronged living up to his oath, ‘Sadrakshanaya Khalnighranaya..

However, one would often find him brooding in the dark, spending sleepless nights holding on to the one hope that he will avenge his wife’s death and rid himself of the guilt he has been bearing on his shoulders..

Sakshi Anand’s addition to the cast of Arjun a few months back hinted at a possible romantic track between the jaded cop and the chirpy journalist.. Only time would tell if he is able to get a second chance at love and hence, life..
Arjun loves kids and harbors a soft corner for them.. Pao bhaji and a hot glass of cutting chai are probably the easiest ways into his heart.. Get to work, ladies.. Samjhe ya samjhaun?!
Shaleen Malhotra.. The handsome, charismatic man with a sparkle in his eyes plays the role of ACP Arjun Rawte.. None could have fit into his shoes as well as Shaleen does..
As the Creative Head, Gorky had once said, Shaleen possesses a certain body language which is Arjun-like.. Be it the ‘eyes that speak’, the no-nonsense attitude he carries off flawlessly, the penchant for action and adventure or ‘the clenching’ of the jaw’& ‘spinning the pen’ as they are known as, are traits he has contributed to the character..
He is just as focused and determined as Arjun when into the character, but one would hardly find him without his trademark cheeky smile..
The man enjoys a massive female fan following both as Arjun and more so as Shaleen.. Well, as cheekily quoted by Mrunal Thakur, his co-star, ‘Isiliye toh hum aap pe marte hain, ACP Sahab..’

Sameer Dhamsingh Rathod, the chief of Emergency Task Force’.
He is “Rathod” for his second in command ACP Arjun Rawte and “Rathod sir” for the rest of the team…A man of principles…a cop who goes by protocols and would adhere and abide by them at all costs!
Things that could set him on fire were the plight of innocent people and ill treatment of women!
A total 360 degree different from his second in command Arjun who went by his instincts and believed in breaking all rules to reach the goal!
A hot headed second in command, a nerdy techie, an innocent commando, a daring female cop, a bubbly chirpy investigative journalist’.the ETF team was a blend of unique and distinct individuals and definitely needs a strong personality like Sameer Rathod to head them’And steer them to the right direction’.to remind them and wake them up about the duty calls!
He makes them pull up their socks and gets things done in the best possible manner’..He is the only person who can talk back’face to face with ACP Arjun Rawte”..his ”Rawte”
An episode doesn’t seem complete without Sameer Rathod’s “Dammit Rawte” and Arjun Rawte’s ”Kuch toh choot raha hai Rathod”
The trademark dialogs of the super cops add that extra flavour and spice to the episodes and lure the fans into their magical play of words!
Something which candidly comes to my mind is Rathod’s super cool full form of ETF – “Experts intodh fodh”

Ayesha Kapoor- Credits Naina
She entered the scene as Nadia, a dancer, but manages to surprise everyone as she reveals that she is, in fact, an undercover cop herself. And soon enough, she ends up joining the ETF as well, and we see a woman who is always ready to face a challenge, and never one to back away. Ayesha Kapoor proves herself to be a strong and fierce officer, not afraid to voice her opinions in front of either Rawte or Rathod. She shows everyone how being a cop doesn’t have to only be a man’s job, and women can do it as well, as she fights alongside the best as they work to solve each case.
But at the same time, the more sensitive side of Ayesha Kapoor is revealed as well, in the way she slowly begins to break through and befriend Rathod, with the gradually developing friendship between Shree/Chotu/Ayesha, and in how she communicates, manages to get through to some of the victims or the victims’ families. Many fans are eagerly waiting to see the budding relationship between Ayesha and Rathod develop further, to see these two tough, daredevil cops, reveal their more romantic sides. Ayesha Kapoor has proven herself to be an irreplaceable member, known by her fans as the “Iron Lady”, and needless to say, Shital Shah is doing a fantabulous job!

The latest entry to the best crime investigation team, Sakshi Anand has joined ETF just a few months back with a big smile on her face.
She has joined ETF on the interest of the DIG to have a messenger who could pass on to the public the hardwork of the ETF members, the sacrifices they give unquestioned when demanded, just for the welfare of the Public.
This high-spirited girl with no defense background, might possibly seem unfit for being a part of a team that faces dangerous situation on everystep. But, her courage cannot be doubted. She won’t think twice before jumping to save a person from a bullet, endangering her own life.
As chirpy as she seems, the smiles carry beneath it a dreadful pain. Her father is taking his passing his every second in this world due to the numerous tubes attached to him.
What happened to him is still a mystery. But there is avenge in the lovely lady’s mind. For sure.
Her biggest obstruction to the sweet smile in the ETF office is none other than the most popular officer there, ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte.
Sakshi is yet the only brave person to challenge and oppose the ideas of this harsh-seeming-officer.
She has taken a vow to make this lost-man smile once again in his life.
What happens in between the two in this mission of hers, is something we all await to see.
She is mindless at times in her actions, but never with the wrong intentions. That doesn’t mean she can’t relate with a person’s pain.
Her “I do Believe You” is still a melody for all.
Also, she is a great observer. She is the only one to observe the small sparkles between her two friends, one a Workaholic cop and other our Dabang lady. She does try at times to give them a space they need.
A true friend, a lovely daughter and a promising lover. This is what defines Sakshi Anand.

Getting information off the Internet is like taking a drink from a fire hydrant.
And when you are “the” IT boy of Emergency Task Force, you know you’ve signed your life away.
From tracking a criminal to gunning them down, he does it all.
A genius tech expert, a remarkable and probably the youngest ETF member, funny, playful yet compassionate.. meet our ETF tech expert, Sreekanth Sen urf Shree.
Surrounded by beeping computers and his gadgets, you’ll find him sitting in his own little cubicle; probably keeping a tab on some criminal.
Or cracking jokes with Saakshi, Chotu and Ayesha. Don’t be surprised if you find him pulling a prank on Chotu, his best friend in ETF (Ofcourse, after his gadgets, duh).
Episode seems rather dull without a Choree moment. Let it be his horror movie nights with Chotu or spying on the ACP’s and their lady love; Choree are a delight to watch.
Even though the other two ACPs won’t admit, their banters do amuse them and maybe, remind them what they used to have earlier.Or you might find him working overnight with ACP Arjun Rawte, the only khadoos in his life. If ACP Rawte is the megamind, Shree is his minion. While discovering an earthquacking theory, Arjun needs his IT boy to pull up some information. Let it be finding out someones phone records, credit card details or make a fake identity, Shree works as his right hand. And sometimes, we are entitled to say “ACP sahib, bacche k jaan loge kya?”
And surprisingly, Arjun acknowledges that. Shree is the only person who got a proper “Thank You” or “Good Job” from our Khadoos ACP.
Shree is indeed, Arjun’s favorite.
He is not only a brilliant tech expert but also a master of disguise too. Whether acting as a college student or a madrasi, he is, hands down, a pro. And he looks adorable as always.
He might be the cutest nerd in town, but he is an amazing human being as well. He might joke around a lot, but we did get to see his vulnerable and emotional side when Riya died. We were left awed when in one of the episodes; he showed compassion with physically disable patients in a hospital.
But yes, don’t underestimate him given his cute looks and friendly nature, when mad or challenged;yeh specky in lungi tumhari pungi bajayega ji.Shree respects his chief and his second in command; in fact he even voiced it out. Both of them scare the heck out of him, but Shree knows, it’s only for his own good. So he calmly deals with all the “dammit!” and “Samjhe ya samjhau?” that comes at his way and gets the work done.
He is a caring friend; we all know that by now. You’re guaranteed to have a good time going “awww, he’s so cute!”!
And he is obsessed with gadgets. Why? Well, first he is a techie, and techies love their gadgets more than their own children. And I kid you not. Apart from that, there will be a backstory of his family, his struggle and why he became what he is now; (courtesy: Gorkyji).
We are eagerly waiting for it as well as to see the sparks fly between him and our ETF forensic expert, Liza D’cruz. Spoilers say, she might be his possible love interest.
As far now, all we know is that they went to the same college. They were rivals, always fighting for the 1st position. Even in ETF, we’ll see them glaring at each other or delivering a sarcastic comment or two; which is, in my opinion, a treat!
She calls him “Specky Sen” and he calls her “aafat”.
A nerdy tech with gadgets and a gorgeous forensic expert with scalpels; how cute!
Siddharth Sen plays the character Shree and I gotta admit, I don’t think anyone else would be able to do justice to the character as he does. He is brilliant and brings out the best which leaves us awed and glued to our screens.
Kudos to him and the writers for giving us Shreekant Sen urf Shree.. the genius tech of all time, backbone of ETF.

Liza D’cruz is the forensic expert of ETF. She digs out evidences and clues from the specimens and blood sample collected from the crime scene. She is smart, bubbly and confident..
Within her lies a sharp brilliant mind which can hunt down the smallest of smallest clues through analytical and scientific methods!
She has an amazing rapport with the entire team and bonds well with the other ladies in the team as well!
But her chemistry with Shree stands apart right from her entry episode!
She is Shree’s college mate..no no not friends any day!..They could kill each other before accepting that they share a friendship bond…
Friendship would run miles away from what they share with each other..They always stood as rivals competing for the first place in college.In ETF, nothing changes that trait in both!
Friendship, Enmity, Hatred, Love…or may be a blend of all that in incorrect propositions…perhaps yes, thats what they share!
She keeps addressing him as Specky Sen just to annoy him and she succeeds in it as well. They complement each other with snide sarcastic remarks and never leave a chance to taunt each other!
Both are always at loggerheads and every conversation ends in an argument of sorts..
Their nhok jhoks are a real treat to watch and keeps the fans wondering when and how these strong headed intellectual logger heads would eventually fall in love? They seem to share a thin line of love hate relationship!
“Will they ever fall in love? Or are they already in love but yet to realize it??” these are other big questions.
And if yes how would their equations and chemistry change..However it happens, it would definitely be a treat..absolute and perfect treat!
Ritu Chauhan plays the role of the forensic expert Liza and she carries it off perfectly fitting every requirement that the role demands from her.
She isn’t a new face to television .She has acted in shows like Yahan Ke Hum Sikander asRanjana, Mein Laxmi Tere Aangan Ki as Ronika!
Though not into direct field work and hard core investigation, she is an inevitable part of the ETF team and the show!

Gone but not forgotten
Riya Mukerjee was a research expert who sacrificed her life for millions of innocent people. She was born to be a great police officer and she died as a brave and courageous police officer.
She was a smart and intelligent research specialist but had no experience in field work when she joined ETF. She was confident, attractive and sensitive. Her two best friends Shree and Chotu often teased her about her shooting skill and that had often hurt her. Little did they know that it wasn’t that she couldn’t shoot but her sensitive nature made her hesitate to take another person’s life, even if that person was criminal ready to shoot her first.
She conquered her fear of shooting the criminal in front of her thru ACP Arjun Rawte by talking to her, he made her understand that when she raises her gun to kill it is to kill the person who has wronged another and that if she didn’t shoot them, they would shoot her first. Perhaps this was also the moment when the tough ACP Rawte started softening towards Riya Mukerjee.
Her friendly nature won over even the tough seasoned cops Arjun Rawate and Sameer Rathore.
She was obsessed with hygiene and cleanliness which never failed to amuse her two best friends.
Her death was a shock to the whole ETF team and it impacted each of them deeply.
Sana Khan portrayed Riya so well that we will never be able to forget her as Riya and will always miss her presence in the show.

Roshni Arjun Rawte. Deceased wife of Arjun Suryakant Rawte.
Roshni, meaning “brightness”.. As the name itself says, she was the brightness of Arjun’s life.
The most beautiful and loving wife anyone could get!
Roshini Arjun Rawte , the one who absence has made Arjun What he is today.
Right from the start, she was a thief who stole his heart and he was a willing victim.
Who is Roshini?
To begin with she is Sam best friend who had come to visit Mumbai but unfortunately or fortunately Sam wasn’t available and she had to head to Arjun place .
She met Arjun through Sameer Rathore.. A best buddy of her.. And our super cop, Arjun was clean bowled by seeing her for the first time!
We have seen various moments of their past like Arjun- Roshini marriage as Arjun remembers it ..there are moments when he doesn’t want his wife to leave him on a rainy day or their first anniversary dinner date when he actually showed her that tattoo and the one flashback that haunts Arjun as much as it haunts the viewers ..her brutal killing by Sikander ..the stab in her back had stabbed Arjun for life and made him a broken man he is now.
A bit of Arni’s happy married life is shown. And through that, we get to know that the couple used to love each other a lot! Though the story that how they fell in love is yet to be shown.. And we all fans are desperately waiting for it.

What all we know about Roshini is that she came across as a naughty girl who actually didn’t forgive Sameer for ditching her at the last moment. An efficient teacher who values her duty and was present to motivate her students inspite of whatever conditions be and finally a loving and a caring wife to Arjun. She was the thread that had joined Arjun and Sameer but now when she isn’t there they both stand on the opposite ends though they still are together but yet the distance is visible.
Her brutal death has left a deep impact on her husband and the only aim in his life is to kill Sikander, the one responsible for taking the light away from the life of ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte.
Roshini is played by Samiksha Jug who had actually made her debut with Telegu movies and even won the best debut award. She has also done a serial for Sahanra One called as Zarra-pyar kesaugat. She appeared as a model for many print commercials for reputed brands like Kit-Kat, Monte Carlo, American Express Card, Amway, World Gold Council, Mother Dairy, Havell’sswitch and T.V commercial’s like Johnson baby prickly heat powder, Hyundai Xing, Sunsilk and Metro tyres, Univercell mobile.
Samiksha was also seen playing the role of Nilanjana Roy in the popular daily soap Yahan MainGhar Ghar Kheli on Zee TV.
Samiksha has played the character of Roshini so beautifully that it’s difficult to imagine that anyone else could have played that character, the kind smile, those beautiful eyes and that innocent face has not only captured the heart of our ACP but also of all the viewers.
