It came with the pre-installed XBMC 11 (Eden) and I decided to upgrade it to V12.2 (Frodo) mainly because of the HD audio support.
I've upgraded my Ultra 2 with XBMCbuntu 12.2 (Frodo) which I’ve downloaded from http://xbmc.org/download/. (That’s the image I've used: xbmcbuntu-12.2.Intel-NVIDIA.iso)
Installed the system from the USB flash drive and used the XBMCbuntu graphical interface. That’s it…
The upgrade itself went fine but I experience many issues now with the picture quality (judder) paying the 60fps MKV file, m2ts payback which is not working and with the Ultra 2 remote control many functions of which stopped working and its range downgraded to 1.5 miters only. (I simply can’t use it anymore).
At the beginning Eden produced some minor juddering as well but it was fixed by setting on the ‘adjust display refresh rate to match video” .
But Frodo doesn't really care about it and the outcome is the same whatever this function being on or off.
Another issue is that the same “M2TS” file which worked perfectly on Eden stopped working on Frodo after the upgrade.
I've installed XBMC 12.2 on Windows 7 for a testing purposes (my other PC) and the same M2TS file works fine and also no judder while paying the same 60fps MKV file.
So I guess I've messed up with the upgrade or with the configuration….
Please instruct me how to handle the upgrade properly. What have I missed? Is there any additional manual configuration required? (I didn't do any)
Do I have to install additional components/drivers to complete my installation?
Perhaps I shall change some XBMC configuration?
I have no problem to scratch this installation and to start all over again so do not hesitate to tell me so!
Please assist,
Yuri D.
