The bottom isn't brilliant, but by no means is it a write off. It could be repaired by someone who knows what they're doing and who has the time and money to invest.
Spare wheel well isn't as bad as are the stories floating about the car. It wants all 4 doors ( bottoms completely rotted out ), Sills, Inner Sills on both sides, Front floor pans on both sides and the O/S/F Chassis rail repairing. Upstairs - is pretty good.

It's parked in the back of a Garage in Plymouth last I heard (8 months ago) along with one of the Geneva Press Sprint's, a Metro 6R4 and an Alfa Romeo GTV6 .
It has also been reunited with it's replacement Broadspeed engine that the first owner who was professional racer had fitted to it in the 70's supplied directly by Broadspeed.

He now also has all the Mira docs and the old photo's when it was being raced on the track.
Aswell as being the first test bed Sprint, it has a serious race history/ pedigree behind it. People just knew it as the press car, but it became/ was turned into an actual track car after it was sold off by the British Leyland factory.
Shame really, as why would you want to race a car as rare as that?? .

A member from the RS owners club who lives in London was after it, and maybe earmarked to be having it.
The original engine and box have also been located and may well now be with the car/ owner, I don't know if the owner has got hold of the running gear.
