The store is a commerce site and I think security issues where money is involved warrant not having the sites linked. I have the same issue with eBay and PayPal and actually get irritated with eBay always trying to automatically link them.
If you want to use the same login and password for the commerce site as you do for Bikenet, that is up to you, but I would vote against automatic linking.
I agree I don't want to use the same login for all sites. I'm talking about the e-commerce site though, there's more than 1 way to log in and the text isn't consistent. Sometimes the login screen asks for a username and password and sometimes email and password. The reset password screen also asks for either username or email but only 1 worked for me.
The original issue seems to have been caused by the domain name change, the e-com site is now part of the tacx domain (used to have it's own domain) and I had old cookies lying around from the original site
