Look or ask on the OSMC forums, I believe someone has already answered that question before.

Curious, how would you compare the performance between the Vero and the i4?

I asked on the Discourse.osmc.tv site, and Sam suggested I ask here,......

As far as comparisons,... its difficult to be fair.

I can install this version of OpenElec on both, and the results are similar. Even though the i4 pro has a quad processor, double what the Vero has, I didn't notice any differences in performance/stability of add-ons, or playing data intensive ISO files. The Cubox can also run the Android OS. Android doesn't run any version of Kodi very well in my experience, on the Cubox or any STB. Currently, VERO/OSMC is strictly Linux, but, I hear they will very soon release an option to run Android Apps inside OSMC, (Netflix, Hulu), while still using Linux for Kodi. That will be a major feat. As I said earlier, Im disappointed that Cubox doesn't have a dedicated remote. I use a USB remote mouse on my i4 pro, but much prefer the sleek Vero Remote that is preconfigured in the OSMC OS.

My personal opinion is that the 2 systems have different purposes, and are intended for different customers. The i4 pro is for the guy who likes tinkering to get the best performance figures, probably has already built a Pi, and a Pi 2, has overclocked and tweaked his system to a perfection, and is hoping to get a little better performance from the quad processing. The VERO is for the customer who wants a "turn key" system, with no issues, ready to go. And for me, they both have succeeded, and there is plenty of room for both to do well in this market.
