Dale H. Gregg
Funeral services for Dale H. Gregg, 81, Wichita, will be at 10 am Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rod Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lecompton. A visitation will be held from 6-7 pm Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Dale H. Gregg was born on September 16, 1933 in Lone Star, Kansas and died on December 24, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. He was the son of Sybil Schroyer, Harry S. Gregg and William(Bill) Schroyer. He is survived by his wife Elise Stucky-Gregg of Wichita, Kansas, brother, Charles (Jana) of Seattle, WA, his daughters, Dayle Hodges (Brian) of Kansas City, Julia Ingrassia of Lawrence, and Christine Hollister (Mark) of Des Moines, IA and his son, Dan Gregg (Janet) of Tonganoxie, KS, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Brenda and a son Steven, brother Jack and sister Virginia.
Dale graduated from Lecompton High School and served in the US Air Force in the 1950's. He retired from the University of Kansas Memorial Union and started a painting and repair business with his son Dan. Dale was active in his community where he served on the Lecompton City Council for several years. He was instrumental in starting the annual Territorial celebration. He was a founding member of the "Crusaders" Car Club in Lawrence, KS. He was president of the Lecompton Historical Society and helped with the initial campaign to restore Lane University as a museum. He also served as a volunteer on the Lecompton Fire Department.
Later in life Dale and Elise moved to South Carolina where they were active in the Lions club and touched many lives with his repair business. Dale was a member of the Odd Fellows and Compassionate Friends. In recent years Dale and Elise returned to Kansas and were lucky to be near his children, grandchildren and family.

Ohmer M. Kaiser, 89, Topeka, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014.

Cheryl K. Mohler
Cheryl K. (Kibbee) Mohler, 61, Harveyville, Kansas passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 in Topeka, KS.
She was born September 17, 1953 at Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Carol L. Kibbee of Lecompton, KS.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Richard H. "Rick" Mohler; three children, Matthew H. (Erika) Mohler, Monica R. Mohler and Mikala R. (Craig) Rocastle; five grandchildren, Tagen, Kaylana, Lexi, Amora and Oliver; her siblings, Roger C. Kibbee, Raymond C. Kibbee, Judy E. Kibbee, Brenda S. Hastert and Jennifer L. Folks; and her extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Mission Valley High School, 13265 Mission Valley Road, Eskridge, KS. Visitation will follow the service at the school. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Lawrence E. "Larry" Runn
Services for Lawrence E. "Larry" Runn, 92, Lawrence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Runn died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Pioneer Ridge Nursing Facility.
Larry was born January 3, 1922, near Clay Center, KS, the son of Lars and Catherine (Bergquist) Runn. He graduated from Clay County high school in 1940 and then moved to Lawrence in September. In 1942, he left to serve in the United States Army during World War II, and returned to Lawrence in 1947. In January, 1948, he, along with his brother, owned and operated Jayhawk Dry Cleaners for nearly 10 years. He then began a career in sales, working in the beauty supply industry and then insurance sales for American Republic Insurance until he retired in 1998.
His passions included building a boat, working on the family farm, and volunteering for the American Legion. Additionally, he was an avid follower of all Kansas University and Kansas City sports.
Mr. Runn married Norma Joyce Fox on November 4, 1949, at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
He is also survived by one daughter, Diane Kearns and husband Don of St. Augustine, FL; a granddaughter, Kristen Kearns of Overland Park, KS; and a grandson, Ryan Kearns of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Runn of Clay Center, KS and a sister, Linnea Mason, of Fairborn, OH.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015.
The family suggests memorials to The American Legion and Grace Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home.

Alexander G. Tsiovkh
Alexander Tsiovkh passed away December 23, 2014. Alexander was an associate professor of the practice at the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. He joined the university in 1993 as a visiting professor of Ukrainian studies and quickly became indispensable to both graduate and undergraduate programs in Russian, East European & Eurasian studies by offering methodologies and capstone seminars, as well as a number of graduate courses on nationalism, borderlands and other aspects of Eastern European and Eurasian history and politics. He also worked as an interpreter for the U.S. State Department. Alexander loved his wife, Yaroslava, and his daughter, Lena more than anything in the world. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend, and he will be dearly missed by the entire Lawrence community. Services for Alexander Tsiovkh will be held on Wednesday, December 31st at 12:00 PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center located at 1631 Crescent Road, Lawrence, KS 66044.
