One Day at a Time: Season 1 (6 January)

A reimagining of the Norman Lear classic, centring on a Cuban-American family. Our heroine is a recently separated, former military mom (Justina Machado) navigating a new single life while raising her radical teenaged daughter and socially adept tween son, with the “help” of her old school Cuban-born mom (Rita Moreno) and a friends- without-benefits building manager named Schneider. The 13-episode first season of One Day at a Time is produced by Act III Productions, Inc., Snowpants Productions and Small Fish Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television. Norman Lear, Mike Royce, Gloria Calderón Kellett and Michael Garcia are executive producers. (13 Episodes)

A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 1 (13 January)

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and also stars Patrick Warburton (Lemony Snicket), Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), Malina Weissman (Violet Baudelaire) and Louis Hynes (Klaus Baudelaire). 8 Episodes

Frontier: Season 1 (20 January)

The series is an action-packed adventure drama following the chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade in the late 18th century. Told from multiple perspectives, the series takes place in a world where business negotiations might be resolved with close-quarter hatchet fights, and where delicate relations between Native tribes and Europeans can spark bloody conflicts. Stars Jason Momoa and Irish actress Katie McGrath. (6 Episodes)

Tarzan and Jane: Season 1 (6 January)

From 41 Entertainment, Executive Producer Avi Arad (Arad Animation) and animation from ARC Productions comes a new Netflix original kids series based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ collection of stories about his iconic characters, Tarzan and Jane. In this modern day remake, 16 year old Tarzan is returned from the African jungle to a London boarding school where he is a “fish-out-of-water” and challenges conformity. As the title suggests, Jane is central to the story, alongside Tarzan, as his ultimate partner in solving environmental injustice, crimes and mysteries. (8 Episodes)
