Pagan & Sharp - Hera Big

Hera Big is a type family in eight weights & 16 fonts. The family explores the motion and fluidity of the ball serif, in an evolution from its previous identity as a counterpart to the slab serif.

Informed by great fat-faces from Figgins to Lubalin, but never deferring to precedent by default, Hera is a fresh mix of originality and organic form, never sacrificing function for beauty.

Parachute - PF Encore Sans Pro

Encore Sans Pro is a sans serif which projects an image of reliability, authority and competence making it ideal for corporate applications. A functional typeface which combines utility with style. It’s subtle round characteristics such as the slightly curved-in edges, create a distinctly contemporary look, blending effectively traditional with modern details.

Encore Sans Pro has received 3 international awards and distinctions including a Silver at the european ED Awards 2010.

This is a contemporary typeface which may function as the perfect alternative to several overused classic sans. Encore Sans Pro does not pretend being different but it does claim its own personality. It is simple and stylish.

Furthermore, it is extremely versatile. It comes with 22 weights and supports simultaneously Latin, Greek and Cyrillic. Each font contains 1535 glyphs and is loaded with 22 advanced OpenType features. Extreme weights, such as the elegant hairline, are carefully designed to establish an even color throughout, while ultra black despite its heavy characteristics is quite legible and powerful. Other intermediate weights such as light and book are ideal as body text for magazines and catalogs. Every font in this series has been completed with 270 copyright-free symbols, for packaging, public areas, environment, transportation, computers, fabric care and urban life.

FF Sero Pro Collection

FF Sero combines the striking forms of an American Grotesque with the legibility of a Humanist sans serif typeface. It has open contours, a distinct x-height and a homogeneous grey scale value. During the seven years of development the classic letterforms have matured and turned into a balanced, sovereign typeface. Eight harmonized weights and an extensive character set allow for a flexible and versatile typography. Cyrillic and Greek characters provide an extended language support.

FF Sero was selected by Communication Arts magazine for feature in its 2012 Typography Annual.

Pro FontFonts support the same character set as Standard fonts, but also include more Latin-based (e.g. Polish, Turkish) languages, and often Greek and/or Cyrillic.

FF Tisa OT Collection & FF Tisa Sans Collection

Slovenian designer Mitja Miklavcic drew FF Tisa to meet the technological and aesthetic requirements of contemporary magazine design and printing. His primary goal was to develop a softer, more dynamic take on the nineteenth-century slab serif wood type genre. A large x-height and pronounced serifs make FF Tisa extremely legible in text sizes. A few unique details - including slightly exaggerated ink traps and a fairly upright italic - are particularly visible in display sizes. The typeface was selected by the TDC judges for a Certificate of Excellence in Type Design in 2007.

The popularity of FF Tisa helped convince Miklavcic to expand his general design concept further. After a few years, FontFont released its sans serif sister: FF Tisa Sans. In all important details, FF Tisa Sans matches FF Tisa perfectly. The FF Tisa Sans character set contains the same range of characters and typographic features as the original FF Tisa. Since FF Tisa Sans should prove quite suitable for signage and information design projects, Miklavcic included a range of specially designed arrows in that family, but these can combine equally well with text set in FF Tisa.

FF Unit OT Collection

FF Unit was designed by Erik Spiekermann and produced by Christian Schwartz. FF Unit is the grown-up, no-nonsense sister of Spiekermann’s famous FF Meta—in FF Unit, all of the puppy fat is off; some curves have been flattened out, and the letters’ shapes are tighter.

Since FF Meta has always been a little out-of-line, and isn’t exactly an over-engineered typeface, FF Unit is less outspoken and more disciplined. Like FF Meta, it is very suitable for use in both large and small sizes. FF Unit lacks some of the diagonal strokes and curves that give FF Meta its touch of informality. However, this difference does not make FF Unit cold or uptight, just cool. FF Unit has no redundant ornamentation, just a lot of character. The tighter shapes make it suitable for big headlines that are set closely. Smaller sizes benefit from the increased contrast between vertical and horizontal strokes and open spacing. Thin and light perform well set large, displaying the characters to their advantage. There is a great difference in weight between the thin and ultra, providing a good range of weights for contrasting combinations. Alternative characters (a, g, i, j, l, U, M) make for interesting headlines. The small caps are a bit larger than normal, making them suitable for abbreviations and acronyms. All fonts include old style figures, and tabular figures, too.

FF Unit was honored with a Certificate of Excellence in Type Design by the Type Directors Club in 2003.

Standard FontFonts contain all the characters necessary for Western languages, such as English, French, Spanish, and German.
