Representatives from Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions will conduct free SAT® practice-test sessions at several locations in the Fort Bend County library system in October.

The SAT test is a college-entrance exam used by U.S. colleges to assess high school students’ general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work, as well as to determine admissions and award scholarships and grants.

The full-length practice-test sessions help students to gain experience and become better prepared for the actual test.

The SAT® test is three hours and 45 minutes long, and consists of three sections – Critical Reading, Writing, and Math. The practice tests take place from10 a.m. to 2:15 pm, including administration and breaks. Students should bring two #2 pencils and a non-graphing calculator.
