Forever Manchester Week is underway and one of our biggest fundraising drives is the Online Silent Auction. It’s not just about art, concerts and food – we’ve got some of the most unbelievable luxury experiences someone could want.

Seriously, have a look.

The adrenaline seeker is covered with:

The lightening fast McLaren 650s thrill day

Top Gun air combat experience

A Redbull Racing factory tour

And there’s something for the consummate golfer or cricket fan coming up too.

McLaren 650s racing day

3, 2, 1, you’ve just gone from 0-60mph in just 3 seconds in the flagship McLaren luxury car that has a £200,000 price tag. For that, you’d get to own one of the finest cars that has ever left the production line. It has become one of the definitive cars for celebrities like Patrick Stewart, DJ DeadMau5, Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Paris Hilton.

This racing experience is available at three race tracks around the country – if you want to go full Clarkson and get shouty on the Top Gear featured track, Dunsfold Park then we can make that happen too.

You will get a full briefing from a qualified racing instructor, who will get you up to speed and help you master control of the McLaren 650s. You’ll be given two demo laps in the passenger side first (we know, the steering side is what you want) and be given a detailed safety breakdown – plus the all important racing tips.

Once you’ve gone through the training and safety required, you are going to get in the driving seat of the fine car designed to be driven flat out with a top speed of 207 mph.

You aren’t going to forget the feeling of navigating 6 miles of racing track with the pace, precision handling and roar of the fabled McLaren 3.8 twin turbo engine.

And if that’s not enough also included is a hand signed Sir Stirling Moss F1 montage. What a nice touch.

Top Gun Air Combat

You can be my wingman any time may well be one of the most quoted movie lines ever. Yet, when it comes to the 80s dog fighting movie starring Tom Cruise – there is so much more to be remembered.

The pumping of-the-time soundtrack featuring artists like Cheap Trick, Kenny Loggins and Berlin makes it a classic even before you get into the dialogue of the movie. Take my breath away on your mighty wings into the danger-zone. That’s quite the in-joke to mention.

If you watched Top Gun, you’ve always fancied yourself as an Iceman, Goose or Maverick, flying at death-defying speed while avoiding rockets with expert showmanship. It doesn’t have to be a Hollywood pipe dream any more.

Feel the pull of the G-Force and get in close formation with ex-military instructors in incredibly fast bulldog planes – then prepare to take each other on and replicate air combat yourself.

You will chase each others tail, do manoeuvres that are worthy of a Hollywood epic and importantly – you’ll be in control. Of course, you’ll be fully instructed as you do for your safety.

To complete the ultimate experience for a Top Gun fan, you’ll get a signed Top Gun frame from none other than the Maverick man himself, Tom Cruise.

Red Bull Racing Factory Tour

The Austrian Formula 1 team based in Milton Keynes is the current team of racers Max Verstappen, Daniel Riccardo and Daniil Kyvat. In their recent history, they have produced four-time champion Sebastien Vettel and four successive Constructors Championship titles. Safe to say that success has followed them and will continue to do so.

Red Bull Racing Factory, Milton Keynes, England.

This is the home of where all the R&D and future technology of F1 is developed and tested to find the next world champion.

The good news for you F1 fans is the doors are open for a factory tour.

You get to see it in all its operational glory. From the technical offices, to the ops room and to the model shop – you’ll get to know what it’s really like to be part of the team.

It’s not limited to the communications side of the Formula 1 business, you can get a look at the wind tunnel and manufacturing process that Red Bull Racing employ. With no mistake, this is where races are won.

You’ll get a tour of all of this and lunch created by the award-winning catering team in the race bay gallery. So you can eat whilst overlooking the race bays. Glorious.
