Below are some of the highlights of the Food Network programming scheduled to air on the channel in November.  It looks like there is a lot of new Chopped episodes (all varieties), more kids (looks like Alison Sweeney is the go-to kids show host), and a lot of holiday themed shows/specials.  Thanksgiving Live will not return, but Food Network does have a replay on their schedule.  Also, Clash of the Grandmas which had a pilot last year will now be a series.

Beat Bobby Flay

Premiering Thursday, November 3rd at 10pm – “Surprise Surprise!”
The Windy City’s Pat Sheerin and Chinese-American caterer Katie Chin are hoping that what they’ve got up their sleeves will be enough to send Bobby Flay packing. Sandra Lee and west coast chef Curtis Stone will decide who gets to go one-on-one with the man himself.

Premiering Thursday, November 10th at 10pm – “Country Boys in the Big City”
Chopped host Ted Allen pairs up with Chef Anne Burrell to weigh in on which contender has the best chance at handing Bobby Flay a loss. Caribbean comfort food chef Justin Gaines and St. Louis barbecue tycoon Mike Johnson hope their plate packs the punch needed to get Ted and Anne’s vote.

Premiering Thursday, November 17th at 10pm – “Thanks But No Thanksgiving” -THANKSGIVING EPISODE!
It’s Thanksgiving, and the legendary Martha Stewart joins Chopped judge Scott Conant to ensure Bobby Flay gets the short end of the wishbone. Moroccan-born Omar Zerrei and former Iron Chef America sous chef Ed Cotton aim to send Bobby back to the kids’ table.

Cake Wars

Premiering Monday, November 7th at 8pm – “Monopoly”
Who will pass “go” and collect $10,000 as Cake Wars celebrates the iconic board game, Monopoly? Four bakers will roll the dice before the judges and hope to have their cake be the centerpiece at a party celebrating everyone’s favorite board game. Rebecca Hollander, director of the Monopoly brand at Hasbro, joins host Jonathan Bennett and judges Waylynn Lucas and Richard Ruskell to help choose the winner.

Premiering Monday, November 7th at 9pm – “Space Jam”
Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the Looney Tunes gang are headed to Cake Wars to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic basketball movie, Space Jam. Four bakers will battle to have their amazing cake creation at the center of the party, but only one baker will be able to make a slam dunk and win $10,000. Bill Farmer, the voice actor behind Sylvester and Yosemite Sam, joins host Jonathan Bennett and judges Waylynn Lucas and Richard Ruskell.

Cake Wars: Christmas – Premiering Monday, November 14th at 9pm – SEASON PREMIERE!
‘Tis the season for delicious holiday cheer, as Cake Wars: Christmas returns! Hosted by Jonathan Bennett, seven teams of cake artists, sugar sculptors and master food carvers go to battle to create mind-blowing Christmas fantasy creations, taking on everything from the Nutcracker to the Grinch to a modern makeover for Santa Claus. Their creations will be judged by holiday crafter extraordinaire Charles Phoenix and pastry chef Sherry Yard, who will eliminate a team every episode until there is just one team left standing to be declared Cake Wars: Christmas champions and win $50,000.

Premiering Monday, November 14th at 9pm – “Christmas: Santa’s Makeover”
Cake Wars kicks off the first of six Christmas-themed battles, as seven teams composed of a cake artist, sugar sculptor and master food carver take to the kitchen. In the first round, they’ll have to tackle the worst gift under the Christmas tree. Then, in round two, they’ll give Santa Claus the first makeover he’s seen in centuries. At the end of the battle, one team will be eliminated, and the rest will move on to compete for $50,000. Singer-songwriter Megan Nicole joins host Jonathan Bennett and judges Charles Phoenix and Sherry Yard.

Premiering Monday, November 21st at 9pm – “Christmas: How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
The six remaining teams made up of a cake artist, sugar sculptor and master food carver return to battle to celebrate the 50th anniversary of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. In the first round, they’ll create a modern twist on How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Then, in the second round, they’ll have to lend the Grinch’s lair some holiday spirit fit for Dr. Seuss. At the end of the battle, one team will be eliminated with help from guest judge Susan Brandt, President of Dr. Seuss Enterprises and host Jonathan Bennett and judges Charles Phoenix and Sherry Yard.

Premiering Monday, November 28th at 9pm – “Christmas: The Nutcracker”
Five remaining teams made up of an expert cake artist, sugar sculptor and master food carver return to battle to create mind-blowing Christmas fantasy creations, and in the first round, they’ll be challenged to show how Santa’s elves get in shape. Then, the teams must give the Nutcracker a modern twist. Special guest judge Tamera Mowry-Housley, host of The Real and avid holiday crafter and baker, will help host Jonathan Bennett and judges Charles Phoenix and Sherry Yard determine which team is eliminated.

Chopped

Premiering Tuesday, November 1st at 10pm – “Cheap Eats”
The chefs are surprised with some thrifty, yet uniquely yummy finds in the baskets, like pork buns and Mexican street corn in the first round. The competitors must pair a pickled product with a fair favorite in their entrées, then some delectable little cakes and an odd sauce make an appearance in the last basket.

Premiering Tuesday, November 8th at 10pm – “Chaudin Chow”
The chefs unveil a Cajun specialty in the first basket that is “offal-y” special. A prized protein adds some porky flavor to the chefs’ fish entrées. And a drink that you have to chew is certainly the oddest mystery ingredient in the final basket.

Premiering Monday, November 14th at 8pm – “Turkey Day Heroes” -THANKSGIVING EPISODE!
Four chefs who cook in soup kitchens come to the Chopped kitchen to face off in this special competition. In the appetizer round, they get creative with some fun bread and orange sauce. Turkey is a given in the entrée round, but they also face an epic cake which defies description and is more than meets the eye! Some items in the dessert basket sound pretty healthy, like yogurt and fruit, but will the finalists’ Thanksgiving desserts be nutritious or decadent?

Premiering Thursday, November 17th at 9pm – “Battle of the Butchers”
Chopped brings butchers to the stoves to show what practiced protein pros can do! In the appetizer round, the butchers direct their cleavers at a beautiful cut of pork as one of the competitors passes around whiskey shots. A big bird and an unfortunately-named radish mingle in the entrée basket, then in the dessert basket, the finalists find an ice cream that only a butcher could love.

Premiering Tuesday, November 22nd at 10pm – “Beast Feast”
The competitors face off in a protein-packed battle, even featuring some fierce ingredients that are too big for the baskets. In a fast and loud appetizer round, the blenders are booming as the chefs try to make meaty appetizers with a creative touch. Then, the chefs get to choose what part of an imposing whole animal to use in their second dish. The final chefs must rise to the challenge in order to make marvelously piggy desserts.

Premiering Thursday, November 24th at 10pm – “Million Dollar Baskets”
No expense has been spared with these top-notch, top-dollar basket ingredients! The chefs get to work with caviar and a very pricey seafood in the first round. The second million dollar basket features something lavishly sweet and something deliciously rare. And a $100 breakfast item is one of the prize ingredients that the finalists discover in the last basket.

Premiering Tuesday, November 29th at 10pm – “Back in Time”
The baskets are filled with retro ingredients, which have the competitors and the judges thinking back on bygone eras and savoring flavor memories. In the first basket, a familiar can and a space-age beverage are two of the foods that transport them back in time. Something frozen in time and something nostalgically spherical are part of the challenge in round two, and a refreshment named for a movie legend is one of the throwback ingredients in the dessert basket.

A set of twins is among the returning Chopped winners striving for the opportunity to Beat Bobby Flay. In the first round, a cold soup and a stuffed lobster challenge the champs, and keeping track of all four ingredients proves problematic for some. The entrée basket includes a giant piece of meat and some tasty little dried fruits. Then, nobody knows how to pronounce the name of a Swedish cookie in the final basket, but will the two chefs who are making dessert know what to do with it?

Premiering Thursday, November 10th at 9pm – “Chopped: Beat Bobby Flay, Finale” – TOURNAMENT FINALE!
The $40,000 title fight finale is here! Ferocious repeat champs return to the Chopped kitchen to bring all they’ve got to the first two rounds to see who gets to face Bobby Flay! The group of three undefeated champs must make appetizers with a strange sauce, and the level of difficulty in the entrée round is off the charts. The one contender who survives to compete in the highly-anticipated Bobby Flay bonus round has the advantage of making their own signature dish, but using ingredients from a Chopped basket!

Chopped Junior

Premiering Tuesday, November 1st at 8pm – “Bug Bites”
Creepy-crawly kabobs in the first basket kick things off on an adventurous note — will the junior chefs find a good way to incorporate the bites of crunchy protein? In the entrée round, the kids are happy to get fish fillets and a colorful cereal. Then, the young cooks must find creative ways to use some little sprinkles and a giant egg in their desserts.

Premiering Tuesday, November 8th at 8pm – “S’more Determination”
Chefs are on hand to judge this round of junior chefs, who must first deal with a peculiar hot dog pasta in their appetizer baskets. The odd combos continue in the second round with s’mores French fries, plus a difficult-to-prepare protein that is definitely new to the young cooks. Then, some adorable dumplings and some fancy fruit are two of the ingredients in the mix for dessert.

Premiering Tuesday, November 15th at 8pm – “Thanks Kidding” -THANKSGIVING EPISODE!
Four confident young cooks set out to make judges a spectacular Thanksgiving meal. Pumpkin pie comes first as one of the mystery ingredients for the appetizer round. There’s no turkey in the entrée basket, but there are a lot of other traditional flavors. Then, some adorable cupcakes are at the center of a goody-filled final basket.

Premiering Tuesday, November 22nd at 8pm – “Basket Brawl”
A new round of talented young cooks storms the kitchen to win over the judges. First, they find some unusual gifts from the sea in the appetizer basket, and in the entrée round, something sweet and something bitter in the basket make for a flavor-balancing act. Then, chocolate ravioli desserts prove to be a challenge in a hectic final round.

Premiering Tuesday, November 29th at 8pm – “Fries Wise”
Ground beef and curly fries are familiar enough appetizer ingredients, but can the kid cooks stay focused enough to make creative choices and technically-excellent dishes? The junior chefs see seafood inside the second basket, then a cookie cup stuffed with something surprising must be incorporated in desserts.

In Christmas Cookie Challenge hosted by Alison Sweeney, five confident and daring bakers compete to prove their holiday cookie-making skills. The winner will go home with the $10,000 grand prize!

Clash of the Grandmas – Premiering Sunday, November 13th at 10pm – SERIES PREMIERE!
Four grandmas enter, but only one will emerge as champion in Clash of the Grandmas! Whatever grandma says or does is culinary law, and in this granny showdown, hosted by Cameron Mathison, these grandma super-cooks will prove they have what it takes to put together the most delicious meal imaginable. A rotating panel of judges, including Monti Carlo, Nancy Fuller, Eddie Jackson, Brandi Milloy, Jamika Pessoa, Aarti Sequeira and Jake Smollett, will determine which granny’s comfort food is worth $10,000.

Premiering Sunday, November 13th at 10pm – “Thanksgiving at Grandmas” -THANKSGIVING EPISODE!
It’s an epic Thanksgiving throwdown, and four grandmas are out to prove they’ve got game. First, they must dress up traditional stuffing ingredients to make a side dish that is anything but stuffing. In their second clash, the grannies have to transform Thanksgiving leftovers into a tempting Italian dish. Finally, it’s grandmas gone trendy as the remaining two contestants vie for the $10,000 prize by making their best Thanksgiving pie — on a stick!

Premiering Sunday, November 20th at 10pm – “Home Sweet Grandma”
First, the four grannies create handheld versions of mac and cheese to hold the family over until dinner. Next, they have only 30 minutes to make meatloaf for unexpected guests, with the help of unexpected sous chefs: the grandpas! Then, the final two grandmas try to freeze out the competition by producing an ice cream sandwich worthy of the $10,000 prize using liquid nitrogen.

Premiering Sunday, November 27th at 10pm – “Granny Family Food Fight”
Three generations join forces in a special family edition, and first, the four grandmas must cook up a pot pie that reflects their heritage with help from their son or daughter. Next, they must make a brilliant brunch featuring the colors selected by their grandkids via video message. Then, the final two grandmas must turn peanut butter and jelly flavors into a family-pleasing dessert worthy of the $10,000 prize.

Cooks vs. Cons – Premiering Wednesday, November 23rd at 9pm – SEASON PREMIERE!
Geoffrey Zakarian hosts the next generation of cooking competition, a battle which asks the ultimate question: could a talented home cook beat a pro, or does a true professional have skills that no amateur could match? With a level playing field, and no one knowing which cook is which, only a blind taste test will prove who has the best dish. If the professional is victorious, they’ll take home $10,000, but if an amateur can beat the odds and take down the pro, they’ll walk away with $15,000!

Cutthroat Kitchen

Premiering Wednesday, November 2nd at 11pm – “Obi-Wan Cannoli”
The chefs play freeze tag in the kitchen as they make grilled cheese and tomato soup, then one chef must wear a moose head as they make moussaka. Finally, one chef has to crawl through a giant cannoli as they make a cannoli.

Premiering Wednesday, November 9th at 11pm – “I Ain’t Afraid of No Toast”
Three chefs have to make a toast while making a toast dish, then two chefs have to battle it out with giant shish kebabs for their choice of shish kebab meat. Finally, one chef has to hopscotch around the kitchen as they make a butterscotch dessert.

Premiering Wednesday, November 16th 11pm – “Fowl Play” -THANKSGIVING EPISODE!
In a special Thanksgiving episode, three family teams have to make their Thanksgiving dinner in a crowded kitchen. Then, one team has to make a leftover turkey dish with ingredients from a giant cranberry mold. Finally, one team has to keep balloon floats from flying away as they make their pumpkin pie.

Premiering Wednesday, November 23rd at 11pm – “Currywurst. Episode. Ever”
Three chefs have to prep their tortas on a giant sombrero, then two chefs have to cook each other’s currywurst dishes as they stand on opposite sides of the Berlin Wall. Finally, one chef has to mix and cook their blueberry muffins in cardboard blueberry containers.

Premiering Wednesday, November 30th at 11pm – “Mission Impastable”
As they make breakfast to go, two chefs have to prep on a table that’s moving around the kitchen. Then, one chef has to crawl through a laser maze as they make baked pasta. Finally, one chef has to ride around on a chairlift as they make linzer cookies.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Premiering Friday, November 4th at 9pm – “From Port to Port”
This trip, Guy Fieri is going from Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Portland, Oregon, for righteous coast-to-coast flavor. In Oregon, there is a Spanish spot serving outrageous octopus and an homage to the chef’s childhood. Plus, he stops at a multitasking market sandwiching polenta and cooking up grandma’s take on biscuits and gravy. And in New Hampshire, Guy finds a modern cantina putting out the pork, from belly tacos to a pig’s head platter.

Premiering Friday, November 18th at 9pm – “Turkey-Giving” -THANKSGIVING EPISODE!
This trip, Guy Fieri is dishing out the spirit of Thanksgiving! In Princeton, New Jersey, Rev Run jumps in at a crepe place serving their take on a turkey club and a 20-layer cake. Plus, in Somersworth, New Hampshire, there is a cafe-bakery cooking up terrific turkey meatloaf and a killer haddock sandwich. And in Portland, Oregon, he finds a spot dishing out rock star food to the community, with a “pay-what-you-can” mission.

Premiering Friday, November 25th at 9pm – “Incredible Italian”
This trip, Guy Fieri is eating up all kinds of incredible Italian. From Boston to San Francisco, Ohio to Omaha, plates are piled with favorites like pasta, polenta, piccata and pizza. Plus, in Arizona, there is a real-deal deli where prosciutto is made the months-long, old-school way, and it wouldn’t be Italian without a trip to Italy, where they’re serving up fresh, regional specialties in the town of Pinocchio.

Guy’s Grocery Games

Premiering Sunday, November 6th at 8pm – “Cooking Channel Cook Off”
Four of Cooking Channel’s favorites, Josh Elkin, Kelsey Nixon, Dan Pashman and Jazz Smollett, are taking on Guy Fieri’s twisted games. First, the chefs try to fit all the ingredients for their signature dish into the world’s smallest grocery bags. Next, they bowl for the ingredients they must put in an international favorite. Finally, the remaining two hosts have to make a delicious lasagna with one small catch: traditional lasagna ingredients are off-limits!

Premiering Sunday, November 13th at 8pm – “Thanksgiving in Flavortown” -THANKSGIVING EPISODE!
Four chefs are fixing for a Thanksgiving in Flavortown. First, they must make a regional Thanksgiving dinner using only seven pounds of ingredients. Next, in a GGG first, the chefs have only 15 minutes to whip up a party plate for unexpected houseguests.
