Host: Ted Allen Judges: Amanda Freitag, Ulrich Koberstein, Aarón Sánchez

Premiering Tuesday, May 10th at 10pm – “Hungry for Love”
There’s romance in the air in the Chopped Kitchen as eight cooking singles are paired up on blind dates! In the first round, the couples get to know each other and the ingredients, which include scallops in the shell and a strange citrus. The six competitors left for round two all decide to grind the protein in the entrée basket and the minimal use of one of the ingredients gives the judges something to discuss. Then, the crème anglaise in the dessert basket seems like a gift for the final two pairs, but neither team makes a dash for the ice cream machine.
Host: Ted Allen Judges: Maneet Chauhan, Christian Petroni, Marcus Samuelsson

Premiering Tuesday, May 17th at 10pm – “Tortellini Trials”
It’s trying times in the appetizer round when the chefs aren’t sure how to creatively use the pasta from the basket. Finally, the two chefs who move onto dessert must make the most of a tropical fruit and a super-savory jarred product.
Host: Ted Allen Judges: Maneet Chauhan, David Loewenberg, Marc Murphy

Premiering Tuesday, May 17th at 8pm – “Go Fish!”
Some sugary items in the first basket have the competitors wondering how to create balanced fish dishes. And clock management issues create big problems for one junior chef and a difficult choice for the judges. Canned pasta and an extremely salty veggie are two of the entrée round ingredients. And an injury in the dessert round puts one finalist in jeopardy of ruining their dish.
Host: Ted Allen Judges: Kardea Brown, Amanda Freitag, Andrew Rannells

Premiering Tuesday, May 24th at 8pm – “Grill It!”
Ovens off! The junior chefs are fired up for a grilling competition! Rings of meat and donut hybrids find their way to the grill pans in Round One.
