Oh hey there friends!  Happy Monday!  I hope you guys had a great weekend … I sure did!  Not only did I get to attend FitBloggin’ (more on that in a minute) but Chris is HOME!  My family is complete again and I couldn’t be happier  Thanks for all your kind thoughts and words of encouragement this last month.  It sure helped!

On to the recap … this last weekend I had the opportunity to attend my first FitBloggin‘ conference.  Not only did I get the chance to speak to fellow bloggers but I met so many new friends and just had a great time overall.  Thursday evening I picked Presley up and we headed to the opening night mixer.  The mixer was a lot of fun but it wasn’t long before our tummies were rumbling.  We hit up Wild Wings Cafe with Stacie, Kasey, and Erin for some late night snackage before I had to head home to the babysitter.  Disclaimer from the beginning – I actually spent most of my weekend without using my phone so there is some lack of pictures

Friday was when the real fun began.  We started off our morning having breakfast at the hotel.  I love me a good buffet!  There were eggs, bacon/sausage, and tons of fruit.  We had to fuel up before our CrossFit Workout.  Andrea from Imperfect Life led us in a team workout.  But first, we had a burpee buy-in to a song where every time the word “thunder” was said you had to Burpee.  They came fast and furious at points!  Then it was on to the workout.  I teamed up with Presley, Shannon, and Allyson and had blast.  The workout went fast but definitely got my heart pumping!

After CrossFit we hit some of the sponsors for some snacks.  One of my FAVORITE snacks of the weekend was from the California Almonds booth.  They had cinnamon glazed almonds and I am seriously in love.  They are addicting and you seriously have to watch yourself because before you know it you have eaten WAY more than a  serving.  #NotSorry

Next up was attending a really awesome session on taking your iPhone video to another level.  I actually want to share some of the tips I learned with you all in a separate post so stay tuned!  We had to cut out early afternoon to pick up my kiddos from school and sneak in a shower.  Before I knew it it was time to pick up Lindsay from the airport and head to dinner at The Olde Pink House.

SATURDAY

Saturday morning came quickly and Presley and I headed back down to Savannah to start our day with our talk.  Our panel was about finding balance without losing yourself.  Rather than sit up there and talk to the group we turned it into a discussion for everyone to participate in.  I also definitely want to share some of the take-aways with you guys but overall it became apparent quickly that we are all facing similar challenges with balancing LIVING and BLOGGING.

We had the chance to talk to the folks from RunDisney which was super exciting.  Beyond the Disney races there are so many other ways you and your family can stay active at Disney.  One of the cool and NEW events that Disney and the Wide World of Sports is hosting is the Disney Fit Challenge this September.  Seriously … check it out.  It looks like a BLAST.

Lastly, I just wanted to shout-out about a new-to-me-company Health Warrior.  Health Warrior has seriously high grade chia seeds and bars that are not only tasty but FULL of awesome nutrition.  My favorite flavors were apple cinnamon and chocolate peanut butter!

There is SO much more I could share about this experience but this post is getting long enough.  There were some incredible sessions at the conference and you can benefit too because there were live bloggers!  Read about them here.

I am back to school today (boo) and life is about to get back to chaos.  It was nice having some time to decompress and hang out without friends before diving back into the books!
