I had the unique opportunity to check out the Forevermark suite in Los Angeles this week. The jewelry is on display so that celebs can come check out which pieces Forevermark has to offer them to wear on the red carpet for Oscar night. While diamonds don’t usually fit into my budget, I don’t care. I wanted to play dress up and channel Elizabeth Taylor.
Also, this is one of those really cool things that you can only do in LA around Oscar time. I get really, really excited about jewelry, especially diamonds, so I couldn’t pass this up. It’s not often that you are put in a room full of jewels and encouraged to try them on. The security guards would only tackle you if you tried to walk out the door with these precious jewels.
At one point, I had on so much jewelry that I felt flush. I was so excited that if a celebrity had walked in I probably would have fainted. All of the jewelry was gorgeous, but it was refreshing to hear that Forevermark is a responsible company.
The diamonds are sourced from mines that not only comply with our strict political, financial, social and environmental requirements, but also actually benefit the communities in which they are operating. Maybe that’s why they are so popular with celebs like Olivia Wilde. I tried on the same jewelry that she wore to the Golden Globes.
A girl can dream . . .
