We are launching another new column here on FBC in conjunction with our many, many talented members: the Weekly FBC Menu Plan!

Every week we’ll be inviting an FBC member to put together a menu plan based on recipes from their blog.  A week’s worth of dinners from Sunday to Saturday.  We’ll include a printable shopping list so you can get everything you need and be ready to cook and you’ll get introduced to some new recipes and meet some great new blogs!

We’re kicking it off this week with Anna from Hidden Ponies!  Take it away Anna:

I have a love-hate relationship with meal planning. I love knowing what I’m going to cook on any given day, and knowing I have all the ingredients to make it. However, I hate actually sitting down and meal planning, and sometimes something pops up that you just HAVE to make.  I’m learning it’s worth the fewer grocery trips and cheaper grocery bills to stick to meal planning and relegate those “must-makes” to a list for next time.

I tend to plan a week or two worth of meals and make what I feel like on any given day rather than sticking to a particular order, because you never know what mood or weather or company will strike. So feel free to ignore the days in front of the recipes, and make them as works best for your family’s schedule!

Weekly Menu Plan

Sunday: Lemon Mustard Roasted Chicken (+ cook two extra plain chicken breasts for Thursday)

-serve with green beans and mashed potatoes

Monday: Ravioli and Sausage Lasagna (great to double and freeze half for another night)

Wednesday: Buttery Pasta Bake

-serve with bread and/or broccoli

Thursday: Mediterranean Chicken Quesadillas (use cooked chicken from Sunday)

-serve with raw veggies and dip

Friday: Chicken Caesar Burgers
