Last week Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara had some quotes regarding Ben Affleck’s role as Batman in the upcoming Superman/Batman movie. Now more quotes have appeared online from the same event where Tsujihara confirmed plans for more DC Comic-based movies.
Concerning the 12-14 films WB releases annually, he said this:
”I think the basis, foundation of those 12 to 14 pictures are going to be coming from DC Entertainment.”
He also seemingly confirmed the title for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, which was rumored pretty much since day one:
“We have Batman Vs. Superman coming out in 2015, but there are going to be in the coming months a lot of announcements regarding the future movie, television, games and consumer product pieces that are going to be coming from DC… DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business and is an important part of the strategy in how we are going to grow going forward.”
This is the same title spotted recently on Watchmen cinematographer Larry Fong’s resume at Worldwide Production Agency.
In closing Tsujihara said:
“DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business and is an important part of the strategy in how we are going to grow going forward.”
So what other DC films would you like to see?
The new film is being scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Snyder. Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the film along with Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles in the sequel. It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015 with production expected to begin in February of 2014 in Detroit.
