Now that one week is essentially over (two games are still happening as I write this) we know it was filled with plenty of excitement and a ton of passing! You likely saw many of this weekends games,and you know that several players came out of the woodwork to have some big impacts in their matchup. Since there was a record setting amount of passing touchdowns, plenty of receivers are on the Waiver Wire watch list this week.

If your fake football teams areat all like mine, you had some surprising performances paired with some disappointing ones as well. I’m looking at you Stevan Ridley and David Wilson!! It’s still early, but I am watching one of my other backs Alfred Morris struggle early too. Irregardless and by any means I hope your teams all did well.

6. Dallas Clark- TE, Baltimore Ravens: (7 RECEPTIONS FOR 87 YARDS. Owned in 8% of leagues)
Dennis Pitta is gone, and Joe Flacco really liked him. In Week 1 at first glance Clark had a miserable game. He dropped a touchdown, and fumbled! Yet he also was targeted 12 times, had 8 receptions for 87 yards. Toss in that touchdown he dropped and he has a great week. If you have a fringe tight end right now, why not take a shot on Clark?

5. Joique Bell- RB, Detroit Lions: (6 carries, 25 yards and 2 td’s. Owned in 70% of leagues).
He had a big Fantasy day, but it was blatantly obvious who the main man is in Detroit. Reggie Bush, will get the “Lion’s share”, and make the biggest impacts, but as we saw Sunday, Bell may get some red-zone carries, and has some play making abilities himself. With Bush running hard, and having a slight injury bug, Bell could be a nice plug in or bench back.

4. Marlon Brown- WR, Baltimore Ravens: (4 receptions, 65 yds and a TD. Owned in 1.5% of leagues).
Injuries have plagued Baltimore already, and Jacoby Jones is yet another one that will hurt, just about as much as it did to witness. He is the number two alongside Torrey Smith, he’s big, quick and will make a nice Red Zone target. Not much to dislike about that now is there?

3. Brian Hartline- WR, Miami Dolphins: (9 receptions on 15 targets!!, 114 yards and a TD). Owned in 29% of leagues).
If you are in a PPR league Hartline may already be owned, but if not he is a must add. Mike Wallace was the big addition to Miami this offseason, but he is not a possession receiver, and Hartline is just that. Even if it’s not in a PPR league, Hartline is a worthy add, and appears to be in line for plenty of targets in and out of the red-zone.

2. Julius Thomas- TE, Denver Broncos: (5 receptions for 110 yds, and 2 TDS. Owned in 50% of leagues as of today).
Depending on your league Waiver claim process he may be gone already. If not he is the talk of the town after his out of nowhere performance Thursday night. Although he won’t likely have games like last thursday night again, or too frequently anyway, he is a nice big target who Peyton Manning likes.

1. Julian Edelman- WR, New England Patriots (7 receptions, 79 yds and 2 tds. Owned in 8.5% of leagues).
Remember the almost nauseating amount of hype for Kenbrell Thompkins and Zac Sudfeld?? Once game time came around a few drops and miscues from these players left Brady no choice but to go to other players. Enter Edelman. Sure hands and solid route running make Tom Brady a happy man.

Robert Woods- WR, Buffalo Bills, currently owned in 5.9%(ESPN).
I love this kid. He’s fast, has great hands, and is most assuredly the number 2 wideout alongside Stevie Johnson. So why is he only owned in 6% of leagues?? Likely two reasons.
First, being he really doesn’t have a talented quarterback throwing him the ball his allure is somewhat still dim. He will play, a lot, see targets, he just may not be as productive as he could be unless E.J. Manuel can surprise and stay healthy.
Second, many people may not have heard of him, and he’s a rookie. That can be enough reason to overlook, or not bother taking a flyer on a talent like Woods while drafting Austin Collie, or Santanna Moss instead. I’m not saying to pick him up right away, but keep an eye on him and pounce when the opportunity arises (This may be your week to get him)
A few other late targets to consider: Leonard Hankerson, Ruben Randle, Kenny Stills
