All major automakers are posting February sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.

Nissan LEAF
Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 1,037 units, up 11.5% compared to February of 2016 when Nissan sold 930 LEAF EV’s. In terms of year to date in 2017, 1,809 LEAFs have been sold, which is up 7.4% compared with 2016 when ,1685 were sold, Last year, Nissan introduced the all-electric LEAF with an available 30 kWh battery that provides an EPA-estimated range of 107 miles – a 27-percent increase over the previous 24 kWH battery.
Chevrolet Volt
Chevrolet Volt sold 1,820 units last month, up 61.6 percent compared to February of 2016 when Chevy sold 1,126 Volts. Overall for the year, 3,431 Chevrolet Volt plug-ins have been sold, which is up by 61.7% compared to 2016 when 2,122 units were sold.
Toyota Prius Prime
Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold 1,362 units during the month, after selling 1,366 units in January. The Prius Prime PHV achieves a remarkable EPA-estimated 133 MPGe and MSRP that will range from $27,100 for the base Prius Prime Plus grade.
Ford C-Max Energi – no sales data to report
Ford C-MAX Energi sold 473 units in January. Previously in December, Ford sold a,289 C-MAX Energi plug-ins. Overall for 2016 7,957 C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrids have been sold.
Ford Fusion Energi – no sales data to report
Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 606 deliveries, after selling 1,099 units in December and 1,817 units in November. For 2016, sales of the Ford Fusion Energi were 15,938.
Chevrolet Bolt EV
Chevrolet Bolt EV sold 952 units in February, after selling 1,162 units in January and 579 units in December. The Chevrolet Bolt EV begins at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $37,495, which includes destination and freight charges, but excludes tax, title, license and dealer fees. Depending on individual tax situations, customers may receive an available federal tax credit of up to $7,500.
Porsche Panamera S-E Hybrid – no sales data to report
Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids finished last month with just 2 deliveries. Overall for 2016, 393 Panamera S E-Hybrids have been sold.
Porsche Cayenne S e-Hybrid – no sales data to report
Porsche sold 177 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs last month, after selling 152 units in December. For 2016, sales of the Cayenne S E-Hybrids were 2,111.
Tesla Model S – Does not report exactly monthly sales
Tesla Motors delivered 12,700 Model S vehicles, according to Q4 results.
Tesla Model X – Does not report exactly monthly sales
Tesla delivered 9,500 Model X vehicles in the Q4 of 2016.
BMW i3 – no sales data to report
BMW i3 sold 382 units last month, after selling 791 units in December. Last year, 7,625 BMW i3 EVs have been sold.
BMW i8 – no sales data to report
BMW i8 sold 32 plug-in hybrid sports cars last month. BMW sold 133 units in December. Last year, 1,594 BMW i8 sports cars have been sold. The BMW i8 has an MSRP of $135,700
BMW X5 xDrive40e – no sales data to report
The BMW X5 xDrive40e sold 262 units, after selling 569 units in December and 436 plug-in SUVs in November. Overall for 2016, 5,995 BMW X5 xDrive40e SUVs have been sold. With a total system output of 230 kW/313 hp generated by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine and a synchronous electric motor, the BMW X5 xDrive40e achieves a combined fuel consumption of 69 – 71 mpg.
BMW 330e – no sales data to report
BMW 330e sold 129 units during the month, after selling 240 units in December. Overall for 2016, 870 BMW 330e plug-in hybrids have been sold. The 2016 BMW 330e is priced at $44,695 including $995 destination & handling.
BMW 740e – no sales data to report
The all-new BMW 740e sold 18 units during the month The 2017 BMW 740e xDrive iPerformance is priced at $89,100 plus $995 Destination and Handling. With its eDrive technology the BMW 740e xDrive iPerformance can be driven in all-electric mode up to 75 mph. Combined fuel economy of 64 MPGe and an all-electric range of 14 miles is possible (EPA official figures).
Mercedes-Benz GLE 550e – no sales data to report
Mercedes-Benz GLE 550e sold 52 units in January. Previously in December, the GLE 550e sold 83 units. Overall for the year, 231 Mercedes-Benz GLE 550e plug-in hybrids have been sold GLE 550e is equipped with V6 gas engine and a seven-speed automatic transmission, combined with an electric motor for total system power of 436 hp, 479 ft lbs of torque. The 8.8 kWh battery pack stores enough juice to travel up to 30 km (19 miles) on electric power.
Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive – no sales data to report
Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 53 deliveries, after selling 54 units in December. Overall for the year, 632 B-Class Electric Drive have been sold. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles.
Mercedes-Benz C 350 e – no sales data to report
Mercedes-Benz C 350 sold 210 units during the month. The Mercedes-Benz C 350 e combines a combustion engine with an electric drive system and a high-voltage lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 6.38 kWh, which can be charged from an external power source. The C 350 e can reach a top speed of 155.3 mph while achieving certified fuel consumption of 112 mpg US.
Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid – no sales data to report
Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid sold 55 units last month, after selling 71 units in December. Overall for 2016, 550 S550 Plug-in Hybrids have been sold. The S550 Plug-in Hybrid offers a system output of 436 hp and 479 lb-ft torque, sprints from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds and can drive up to 20 miles purely electrically.
Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV – no sales data to report
Volvo XC90 PHEV sold 96 units during the month, after selling 204 units in December and 161 units in November. Overall for 2016, 2,015 XC90 PHEV SUVs have been sold. The MSRP of the Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV is $68,100 before incentives.
Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid – coming later this year
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid starts at $34,495 with available U.S. federal tax credit, not including state and local incentives. The Pacifica Hybrid has earned a fuel economy rating of 84 MPGe from EPA. It also offers a total driving range of 566 miles and an electric-only range of 33 miles.
Volkswagen e-Golf
Volkswagen e-Golf sold 293 units last month, up 48 percent compared to February of 2016 when Volkswagen sold 198 e-Golf EVs. Overall for the year, 625 e-Golfs have been sold, which is up by 18.8% compared to 2016 when 526 units were sold..
Audi A3 Sportback e-tron
Sales of the A3 Sportback e-tron did well in February with 400 vehicles, an increase of 61.3 percent compared to February of 2016 when A3 Sportback e-tron sold 248 units. In terms of year to date, sales of the A3 Sportback e-tron no stand at 787 units, up 36.9% compared with 2016 when 575 units were sold..
Fiat 500e
For May, Fiat 500e sold 240 units last month, after selling 345 units in January. In 2016, sales of the Fiat 500e were 5,330 units.
Hyundai Sonata PHEV
Hyundai Sonata plug-in hybrid sold 175 units during the month. Previously in January, Sonata PHEV sold 190 units. Last year, 3,095 Sonata plug-in hybrids have been sold, Hyundai Sonata PHEV is priced from $34,600 before incentives.
Kia Optima PHEV
Kia Optima PHEV plug-in hybrid sold 85 units during the month, after selling 40 units in January. With an estimated 600 miles of total driving range, the Optima PHEV’s battery system features a 9.8 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack, which produces roughly 60 percent more energy output than the battery pack found in the outgoing Optima’s hybrid system, and is estimated to achieve 27 miles in full EV mode
Kia Soul EV – no sales data to report
Kia Soul EV sold 117 units last month, after selling 179 units in December. Overall for 2016, 1,728 Soul EVs have been sold. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP is $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base trim.
Smart Fortwo Electric Drive – no sales data to report
Last month, smart fortwo ED sold 15 units last month, after selling 40 units in December. Overall for 2016, 657 smart fortwo EDs have been sold.
Chevrolet Spark EV – no sales data to report
Spark EV sold just 4 units, after selling 17 units in December. Last year, 3,035 Chevrolet Spark EVs have been sold.
Ford Focus Electric – no sales data to report
Ford Focus Electric sold 56. For 2016, sales of the Focus Electric were at 901.
Mitsubishi i – no sales data to report
Mitsubishi didn’t sell any units last month. Last year, only 94 iMiEVs have been sold. The 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will arrive at Mitsubishi dealers across the United States in late March 2015. With a starting MSRP of only $22,995, the 2016 i-MiEV is the most affordably-priced electric vehicle available in America today, and after factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net starting MSRP is reduced to $15,495.
Toyota Mirai
Toyota sold 110 Mirai fuel-cell electric sedans last month, after selling 83 units in January. Last year, 1,034 Mirai FCVs have been sold. The Mirai is priced MSRP $57,500 plus an $835 destination fee. With combined state and federal incentives of $13,000 available to many customers, the purchase price could potentially fall to under $45,000.
Cadillac ELR – discontinued
General Motors has pulled the plug on the Cadillac ELR after years of dismal sales. Cadillac only managed to sell 1,354 units of the ELR in 2014, while only 1,024 were delivered in 2015.
