Just picked up my '15 ST2 this week, and I feel like it's driving around naked. It needs it's very first detail to begin building up layers of protection. I want the best I can afford (within reason), for a long lasting beautiful polish that will protect the car in 120 degree Las Vegas heat/wind gusts that launch sand at your car. I don't have Scrooge McDuck's money bin, so I have to be realistic on what everything costs. A local high-end detail shop is quoting anything between $500 - $1200 for a professional job, with the more expensive option using "EVO Quartz Coating" guaranteed to hold 80% of the original gloss for 24 months or they'll re-apply it for free --> Las Vegas Auto Detailing | Paint Correction | Hand Car Wash | Full Service Detailing

We all know this isn't a new 911 GT3 RS here, but I want to take the best care of it I can, and I'm not at all savvy when it comes to car detailing. What should be a reasonable price for what I want, and what's simply an over the top ripoff? I also want to get protective film for the front of the ST, and I know that'll cost a good $1000-$1200 or something like that. I just don't want to get taken advantage of because I don't know what reasonable costs are for what the car needs. Any suggestions or recommendations? FYI I do not own detailing equipment, know how to use it, or live in a place where I can do work on my own car on premises.
