BenQ’s new P Series Projectors offer high brightness, optional lenses and interchangeable colour wheels for complete installation flexibility.

Designed for education, retail, and corporate environments, the P Series projectors – PX9600 and PW9500 – provide XGA and WXGA resolutions, high brightness (6,500 and 5,700 respectively), and a crisp 2800:1 contrast ratio.

Ideal for installation in auditoriums and large spaces like theatres and galleries, they boast great versatility and can cater to a number of different applications and situations.

With the option of up to seven lenses which are readily interchangeable, motorised zoom and focus capabilities, as well as motorised lens shift, ultra-high brightness, high contrast ratio and high resolution, BenQ claims they can adapt to suit almost any application required of them.

The different lenses available range from short throw to long throw, while the projector’s interchangeable colour wheel system provides the ability to boost mid tone colours for a more life-like picture. Image quality is sharp and clear with a dual lamp design, and even when presented at maximum projection size there is no drop in image quality.

Input options

A complete set of input options from digital and analog to networking control connection terminals gives the presenter the freedom to utilize various tools and devices to effortlessly enrich their presentations. For installers and projector managers, with integrated RJ45 connection, multiple projectors can be managed readily over LAN. P Series projectors also come with with a wired remote control for ease of use.

Says Martin Moelle, BenQ Australia’s MD, “Our new line of P Series projectors were engineered to provide the marketplace with a more affordable package for producing professional-grade projection within a wide range of settings.”

“We use leading-edge DLP Technology to reflect pure light from millions of micro mirrors on a DMD chip through our advanced color wheels. Since the mirrors are colorless and protected within a nearly-sealed engine, BenQ DLP Projectors have no aging problems and are virtually immune to image decay, consistently delivering picture excellence time and time again. In fact, after 2,000 hours of intense usage, inserting a new bulb produces image quality comparable to a brand-new projector,” he said.

High contrast ratio

The P Series offer a high contrast ratio of 2,800:1 significantly improving the black level for superbly rendered image definition, while the 3D color management tool, exclusive to BenQ projection, ensures 100% uncompromised color customization with the freedom to independently fine-tune the hue, grain and saturation levels of all six primary colors (R/G/B/C/M/Y).

Another valuable feature of the BenQ P Series range is the 360° tilt option, which opens up new possibilities to adopt projector use in any form of space – ceilings, walls or floors of places such as shops, galleries and theaters. This feature also makes possible innovative audiovisual applications, such as creating interactive floor projections.
